It was that simple piece of paper what brought everything we had been trying to build down, however, saying that was the beginning of everything would be a mistake.
On October 31st 2017, the world as we knew it reached it's end, but it wasn't a one event or one bad decision made what caused, it was a series of events and choices what slowly put everything in place for it to blow up.
The Libitina virus. That's what ended the world.
On that fateful day, a man of pink hair arrested a couple of days prior for abusing his daughter broke out of jail and caused an absolute disaster. But he didn't do it alone of course, along him, all the other prisoners and even guards and some other employees there joined him in one of the worst Halloween nights Japan ever experienced.
But compared to what came after, that was merely a walk in the park.
In the following days, one after another, countless disasters occured. Violence of all kinds, from senseless fights, persecutions to certain groups of people, suicides in the middle of the streets, anarchy, murders and the worst of them all and unfortunately, the most common of them all as well, sexual assaults.
The country was falling apart but ours was just the first of many. The Libitina virus spread throughout the world in a matter of weeks and the inevitable, worst trait of mankind manifested as it reached the higher ups of every country.
War.
But I suppose I should explain why or how does this virus work to cause of all these things... To be honest, I still need to have the full picture myself but here's what I know.
The Libitina virus works mainly over one's brain and to put it simple, it gets your worst, most negative trait and makes it as primal as eating or sleeping could be so your body and mind live just to satisfy that thirst.
For example, if a guy who likes to steal things from time to time and even if he may not even be a thief in all the extension of the word in his day by day and would just be a normal person in the eyes of society got infected by that virus, his brain would make that fondness for stealing just as necessary as eating would be for anyone to be alive.
Soon, he'd start stealing anything he wanted and from anyone he wanted recurring to any means necessary, and by that I of course mean violence. First, he probably would beat people up to get it if they got in his way but eventually and the more you obstruct his thirst for that, he'd soon recur to murder even.
