Amsterdam. Known for its historical attractions, collections of great art, and for the distinctive flavour of its old sections of the eternal beauty of the centuries-old canals, which have been so well preserved despite the growing age of modernization.Home. Although this is her first time visiting the capital of Netherlands, to Raine it feels as if she is about to relive memories she never even had.
As soon as her foot touched the runway of the airport, Raine was left speechless. The breeze caressing every strand of her hair, making it flow past her shoulders, something inside of Raine is telling her that she belongs here. The wind was pulling her, calling her, leading her. The cool wind swept Raine's pains away and left a smile in her face. "Here I come..." She breathed out.
The drive from the airport from the hotel took no longer than thirty minutes. "Ah yes! Finally!" Raine smiled, getting out of the car holding her things with her. As soon as she stepped inside the hotel, she was mesmerized. The hotel wasn't grand or lavish; instead the walls were covered in panels of wood and a large stone fireplace at the heart of the lobby. She was simply blown away by the aesthetics of the hotel, authentic to the Dutch culture.
Raine eventually checked in her hotel room where she'll be staying for two nights. It was already past dinner when she finished unpacking her clothes. She rested her head on one of the counters as she watched the view outside. Lifting her head on the table, Raine turned to find her phone ringing; assuming it's Lara or Khalil she immediately answered.
"Yeah, I got here safe." Raine started uninterested to go on with a conversation. "Ate!" The voice from the phone resounded."Shaiya?" Raine asked, frowning from confusion.
"Yup! I am!"
"Ohh... how's my little sister doing?" Her face brightened up and smiled.
"We're doing good! You?"
"Nothing much. I'm on a business trip, I just got off from the airport and I'm settling in." She recalled.
"Wait... Airport?!" The voice asked.
"Yeah! I'm in Amsterdam!" Raine announced excitedly.
"As in Amsterdam?! THE Amsterdam?" The voice cheered on.
"Yup! THE Amsterdam!" She cheered on, smiling while on the phone.
"Awwwww that's great, ate!"
"I know right! But I'm not here for a vacation, I came here for business so it'll just be a quick trip." Raine clarified.
"I want to go there too!"
"Soon..." She smiled looking over the window.
"But ate, actually, I called because..." Her sister said seriously.
"Hmm?" Soon her daze was gone off by the tone of her sister's voice. Coming out of her daze, she stood straighter, waiting for her sister's news. "For the third time this week, someone called the home phone asking for you."
"What?" Raine asked, oblivious to her sister's words.
"Yeah. But when we asked him why, he would just hang up everytime"
"Are you sure he's even looking for me? Why will someone be even looking for me?" Raine hesitated trying to recall who it might have been.
"Clearly he's looking for you. He said he's looking for Raine Buenez, and you're the only Raine Buenez in our compound obviously!"
