Monday after practice, Tsukishima ended up going to Yamaguchi's house. What the blonde was critically unaware of, was that there was a thunderstorm heading their way. And what Yamaguchi was critically unaware of, was the fact that Tsukishima was indeed "afraid" of thunderstorms, one may call it. The two were sat on Yamaguchi's bed, playing video games and Tsukishima was kind of zoned out staring at the screen as they played. He was still playing, but he was unaware of the now falling rain. The pitter-pattering on the window, and the whirling winds were all non-existent to the blonde boy. Only then would a loud roar of thunder strike, and he jumped, causing the controller to fall out of his hands. "Fuck," He mumbled as he picked the controller back up, taking a deep breath. He was unsettled by the thunder, which had seemingly come out of nowhere, and instead he was hyper-aware of everything. Involuntarily counting the pitter-patter of the rain, hearing the wind so loud despite it being so quiet. He was terrified, awaiting the next loud crash of thunder that would remind him of a lion's roar.
"Tsukki, we should go dance in the rain! It looks fun!" Tadashi looked out the window and smiled brightly and looked back at Kei. "It would be fun!" he crawled over and shook the other a bit nagging him to go outside
Tsukishima frowned slightly, his usual scowl returning to his face. "No thank you. I'd much rather stay inside. This way you won't get sick," he said, scoffing slightly. "We both know you have a weak immune system Tadashi, and if we go outside in the rain you're more than likely bound to catch a cold."
"But if we get sick then we can stay together longer! and watch movies and sleep all day!" Yamaguchi insisted and laid down in Tsukishima's lap looking up at him with a big smile.
"I said no, Tadashi. And besides, you'd be the only one sick," the blonde said, rolling his eyes and fixing his glasses. "Get off me, we're supposed to be playing video games."
"Please Tsukki? Just for a little bit?" Yamaguchi sat up and laid on Kei's shoulder, picking up the controller and playing the game again.
"..Fine, Tadashi. Do whatever the fuck you want, don't listen to me. I obviously don't know what i'm talking about," Tsukishima muttered annoyedly as he paused the game and stood up to go get his extra rain jacket that he kept at Yamaguchi's house in case he ever needed to get home in the rain.
"I didnt mean that..." Yamaguchi said quietly and just turned off the tv. "Im sorry- we can stay inside if you want to" he closed the window and shut the curtains. "Im sorry for pushing it..." he walked into the bathroom and locked the door, silently crying to himself.
"Tadashi if you don't get your ass out of the bathroom I'm going to walk home," Tsukishima threatened, as he had planned on spending the night before that happened.
"Ok.." Yamaguchi came out of the bathroom covering his face with his sleeves. "Wanna go get a snack?-" Tadashi tried to sound happy and turned away from Kei to walk downstairs and get some snacks for the two of them where he would make sure it wasnt obvious that he had been crying.
Tsukishima grabbed Yamaguchi by the shoulder, pulling him closer. "Hey, stop," the blonde said, waiting a second before continuing, "You were crying. I can hear it in your voice. I didn't even get mad at you. Now c'mon. We're going outside."
"We don't have to its okay!" Tadashi kept his head down "I can go pop some popcorn so we can watch a movie" he let out a weak laugh and again tried to turn away "We got strawberry cake in the fridge just for you!"
Tsukishima frowned, grabbing Yamaguchi's chin gently as he tilted the shorter boy's head up. "Cut the shit, Tadashi. You wanted to go outside so we're going outside. Can you not just let me be nice?"
"O-okay.. thank you Tsukki," Tadashi smiled and kissed Tsukishima's cheek, before walking away towards his room to get his jacket, scarf and boots. Frantically searching through his closet to find them.
