"Hello?" I asked, "Is anyone there? I wanna make a phone call!"
"I told you, go to bed it's lights off!" Said the officer in a harsh tone.
"But I didn't make a phone call yet..."
"You made 5 earlier, and that's way more than you're entitled to. Go to sleep."
"But-"
"I know you're concerned for you child, I would be too but it time to hit the sack. Go to sleep."
"Ok, thanks officer."

I sit on the cot next to the caged window. I watch the stars twinkle and remember how me and my daughter used to watch them. I thought that's what we would be doing tonight instead of rotting in this cell. I have a court hearing tomorrow, I hope it goes well its up to the people and the people is who I fear...
