-Coral's point of view-

"Hey Cora, wanna race back to the boat?" my sister Azyline asked. We had been riding jet skis around the lake for about an hour, and had decided to go back to the boat.

"Oh, you're on!" I started my jet ski up, Az doing the same. "On 3," I yelled. "1...2...3!"

I was in front of her about half the way back, but she went around me when a floating log got in my way.

"Ok, you had an advantage!" I said, slowing down once we reached the small cove.

"I still won," she said. I flipped her off and we continued to head back to our boat.

We usually had the cove to ourselves, so it shocked me a bit to see another boat with a few people on it, all of them appearing to be somewhere in their 20s.

However, one of the guys stood out to me in particular. The tips of his brunette hair were dyed blue. He had a tattoo on his chest as well, easily making him 10 times more attractive than he already was. He smiled at me and waved, and I shyly waved back. One of his friends grabbed a camera and started recording, reminding me I that Az and I had our own video to record.

Who ever he was, he was utterly perfect.

Az and I made it to the boat, parking the jet skis.

"Hey girls! How was your ride?" my mom asked, glancing over from where she was tanning.

"It was good, although I think Cora has a little crush," Az said teasing me. I rolled my eyes and pushed her off the swim platform.

"I just thought he was attractive," I said sitting down letting my feet dangle in the water.

"Come here, bitch!" Az said, grabbing my ankles and pulling me in the water with her.

"Language Az," yelled out dad. I laughed a little before getting out and grabbing my wakeboard from its spot on the rack.

I threw it in the water and jumped in after it, climbing up on it and taking the warmth of the sun in.

Music was playing quietly from the boat, but the voice of the blue-haired boy carried over top of it. I couldn't help but look over at their boat, watching him. Az caught me staring and chuckled.

"Why don't you just go talk to him?"

My head shot towards my sister, glaring deep into her eyes. She put her hands up in surrender. "Damn, chill. I'll go with you."

I smiled, only to get out of the water and put my board up.

We walked along the shore line and finally made it to their boat.

"Ladies first," I said, gesturing for Az to go first.

"Fuck off bitch, you're the reason I have to be social!" She hissed. When I didn't move, she sighed and began to walk towards the strangers' boat. Halfway there, a girl noticed her and walked over to us.

"Hi, I'm Andrea!" she said as she stuck her hand out for us to shake. We did, and I introduced us.

"Hi I'm Cora, and this is my sister Azyline, although she tends to prefer Az," I said, giving Andrea a warm smile.

"Sick tattoo dude," Andrea said, pointing to Az's solar system tattoo along her collarbone.

"Thank you," Az said, managing a small smile.

"Hey Elton, come here!" Andrea said. A man with a beard walked up to us and smiled.

"Hi, I'm Elton," he said as we shook his hand and introduced ourselves yet again. "Do you all want to join us for the rest of the day? You both seem pretty cool," he asked, earning a smile from me.

"We're out with our parents right now, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind. But Az and I should probably go check just in case," I said. He nodded and we walked away.

"Cora, are you sure about this?" Az asked as we made it back towards our boat.

"Yes, I want to meet new people. I see the same faces everyday, and I know everyone in this town. Plus I'd get to know that boy," I said. Az rolled her eyes.

"Fine, but you know I'm not gonna talk to anyone," She said. I smiled.

"I know, but at least you're going," I said, getting a nod in response.

After a quick chat with our parents, we grabbed our things and headed back towards Andrea's boat.

"Aye, you made it!" Andrea said excitedly as we got in the boat. "Guys, we have some guests," Andrea said, making everyone look up.

I immediately locked eyes with the blue-haired boy. "Ok so that's Corey, Sam, Colby, and of course you've met Elton," Andrea said, introducing everyone.

"Well I'm Cora, and this is my sister Az. She's not one for situations like this, so don't take her actions personal," I said, Az elbowing me in turn and everyone laughing.

"Well, everyone take a seat- we're going to go wake boarding!" Elton said. The only open seat in the back of the boat was next to Colby. Az let me have that seat and she went up front with Andrea.

"I like your piercings," Colby said. I was surprised.

"Thanks, I never really get compliments on them," I looked over at him, noticing his stark blue eyes. I would've gotten lost in them if the boat hadn't come to a stop.

"Cora knows how to wake board," I looked at Az and back at Elton, who was recording me.

"She's not wrong" I said.

"Show us what you got!" I stood up, grabbing a wake board. The sun was going down and I knew Az would get some good pictures.

"Hey, what's your Instagram?" Colby asked, the two of us sitting up front while everyone else relaxed in the back of the boat. We were slowly making our way back to the dock.

"Cora dot bates," I said I saw him typing it in and I soon got a notification.

"Well, well, well, Mr.1.7 million followers," I said, earning a laugh from him.

"You're just jealous," he said as I followed him back.

"You wish," he chuckled and we just talked the rest of the way.

Colby and I instantly clicked. We had so much in common. I'm pretty sure we spent an hour alone talking about piercings and tattoos. He told me about how he and Sam got started on YouTube, as well as their journey through it.

I told him what it was like growing up practically on the lake, and how I suffer from depersonalization/derealization disorder. His presence alone calmed me, and even after a few hours I knew that I trusted him- something that I didn't give away often.
