Nightshift

Surprisingly the rest of the day goes by smoothly though I'm a little worried about sun. He seems as if he's been avoiding me since the lights came back on. As soon as the last of the kids leave I walk over to sun who's cleaning up the daycare. "Hey sun. Is something wrong you seem to be on edge since the lights came on." He whips around to look down at me "Ah! Sunshine! You caught me off guard. I'm just cleaning up the area before i-" "sun, stop avoiding my question." He gives me a frightened look before straightening up a bit "I-I don't know what your talking about sunshine! I'm fine completely at ease!" I look at him with a sceptical look and that sent he over the edge. Caving in. "I'm sorry sunshine I should have told you about the safety protocols when the lights go off! You or the children could have gotten really hurt!" He wraps his arms tight around my waist to give me a tight but chillingly comfortable hug. "Hey, hey it's alright I'm not upset." I hug him back giving him a light squeeze before making an attempt to wiggle out of his tight grasp. "S-sun I can breathe." Loosening his grip around me he apologizes profusely before continuing to clean up the daycare "sorry sunshine! I was just really worried. Sorry I squeezed you like that I just-" I pull him down to my height to give him a light kiss on the forehead. Wait... Why did I do that "I uh- sorry sun." He covers his face and turns away from me though I catch a glimpse of his face. He seems... Flustered? I didn't know animatronics could get like that. He turns to clean again for the millionth time. "Sunshine... I- uh I'm gonna clean you should go give your report for the beginning of your night shift." I check my fazwatch "ah, crap your right. Thanks sun." I walk away to my station but can't help but think about the moment I just had with sun and feel my face heat up at the thought of... Agh! I have to give my report not daydream about smoochin'! A sun animatronic. Still I can't get the thought of it happening again  out of my head. Taking a few deep breaths I start working on my report and notice sun going to his room. Huh, that's weird. When I came earlier for the job sun didn't seem like the type to go hide away when there's people around. I finish up my report and decide to find a way into suns room. Looking around for a place that might enter his room I see a door with a sign on it that says in colorful bold text "STAFF ONLY" welp I'm staff and I have a key card to open it. I open the door and step in. After walking up the world's longest staircase and a few hallways I find myself at yet another door that says staff only. Well here goes nothing. I open the large metal door to find myself in a rather messy small room. And sun sitting in the corner with his hands covering his face "oh, no good, no good" I walk into the uncharacteristically dirty room letting the metal doors close behind me with a thump. Suns head whips up with a rather flustered action following after "Ah! S- sunshine! Did you come to do some sort of inspection for your night shift report? If you did I'm fine! Promise! Thanks for coming to check up though you best be going now." He stands up and ushers me towards the door. "Sun I didn't come here for an inspection for my report. I wanna know how your feeling. You seem to be out of character this evening and I wanted to see how your holding up. He pauses when I turn around to meet him face to face. "I'm.. I'm fine." He covers his face when he says that. "Sun are you..." "What?! No, no, no of course not sunshine!" "Sun you're covering your face, hiding in your room and trying to avoid me and your going to deny you have a little cru-" I'm cut of my sun picking me up and going over to his large balcony that leads to the ball pit. "Sunshine! How about we color instead?" He looks like he's about to jump off the balcony so out of instinct I hold him tighter to my chest and squeeze my eyes tight and before I know it were back on ground level.
