"Hm... how about this?"

*Click!*

A segment of song plays as Misaki presses the 'play' button. She stops, furrows her eyebrows and stops the recording. 

"..."

What's with that look on your face? 

"There's something wrong with this...", she answers as she stares at the laptop screen.

I look at the screen, scanning through the colour-coded music tracks. 

Oh, here.

I place a hand on Misaki's as I drag the mouse, moving a purple-colour-coded track up above an orange-colour coded one. She yelps, her ears turning red.

"H-huh?"

I let out a laugh.

Your ears are red~

"N-no, they're not!", she refutes, blushing even further.

Don't lie~

"...", she pauses for a moment. "...okay, I am."

I smile. Taking my hand off hers I point at the screen.

You put this track in the wrong position. It was one lower, so it sounded weird. Let's listen through it again.

"Oh, okay."

*Click!*

As she replays the segment her eyes widen a little. 

"Oh, so that's why it sounded weird. Thanks for spotting that."

No problem.

"I dunno how I didn't notice that. Maybe I'm a little...", she pauses, "..sleepy."

As I look at her she lets out a quiet, audible yawn. She wipes the tears from her eye. I look at the time.

Well, we've been working on this for a while now. Maybe we should take a rest, continue this some other time.

"...mhm", she answers quietly.

Listening to this, I feel like we've achieve a pretty good amount on progress on this. If we keep it up, we might be able to finish this before the concert. I'm off on Friday, so how does-

I suddenly feel a pair of arms wrap around mine. I look to my right.

...Misaki? Are you asleep?

She puts her head on my shoulder, fully closing her eyes. After a moment I begin to see her breathing start to slow down.

..She's asleep.

I look over at the screen.

Well, we have been working on this for a while, and I think Misaki has been hard at work trying to complete this before the concert's date.

Maybe it's alright for us to take a break.

I save it then close the laptop. I take the earbud out of Misaki's left ear and wrap it, putting it in its case. 

You really have been working hard on this, huh?

*Click!*

"Misaki-chan? Kokoro-chan wants to-"

I quietly put my finger on my lips. Kanon puts a hand on her mouth.

"Oh."

We wanted to take a rest.

Kanon looks over at Misaki, then smiles warmly. Nodding, she quietly opens the door and leaves the room.

*Click!*

As Kanon leaves the room I look at Misaki. Grabbing a blanket from my left I drape it over her sleeping body. I move the laptop over to the side of the table.

Goodnight, Misaki.
