Venti wouldn't call himself a 'great' driver, not at all. Even his roommates are hesitant to get into a car with him if he's behind the wheel. However, when he is sober (which is rare) he would, personally, call his driving skills acceptable. Although, being sober doesn't completely ease his mind when behind the wheel either. If he was to be completely honest, he probably feels safer when he is driving drunk since he doesn't have a care in the world.

Shit, wouldn't it be ironic if Venti ended up killing Kaeya at the end of the day.

So that's what led Venti to make the decision to call for an uber, much to Kaeya's disapproval. During Venti's call with the uber driver he begged for the driver to pick up some noodles from any nearby shop on his way there, promising he would pay extra.

Besides, it's not like a random uber driver would be linked to Kaeya's murder, right?

Once the uber arrived, the two slipped into the backseat. The smell of noodles made Venti's mouth melt, and seemed to do the same for Kaeya. Venti quickly informed the uber driver of Kaeya's address, then his address. Then the bard reached over to the passenger seat and grabbed the noodles from it, presenting them to Kaeya.

"Here, the surprise!" Venti said as he forced a smile to his lips. Kaeya gratefully took the noodles from his hands.

"So, did you plan this all? Did you previously arrange a special uber driver to pick us up and are these-" Kaeya opened the lid of the noodles, "are these my favourite noodles?! Wow, thank you so much Venti! I'm lucky to have such a great friend to put so much planning into my return."

"Uh- yeah! I always want the best for my friends!" Venti chuckled sheepishly, he met the drivers confused gaze in the revision mirror and discretely sent him a thumbs up. Venti made a mental note to give this guy a five star review.

Kaeya wasted no time in digging into his food, he turned to Venti. "I can't wait to get home, it would be lovely to see Albedo again." Kaeya commented in between his bites.

"Oh, well it's good you'll be reunited again." Venti commented, leaning back in his seat.

"Yeah, I just hope he is excited to see me too." Kaeya shrugged, his gaze travelling to the floor. Now this caught Venti's attention.

"Oh?" Venti questioned, perking up. "Why wouldn't he be?"

"Well, I don't know. I haven't seen him since I left for America. But before I left we were having some issues. Even during our facetime calls there was always a lingering tension. I just hope that isn't there when we see each other again in person." Kaeya shrugged, Venti felt a pang of sadness hit him at seeing Kaeya so down.

"Hey, I'm sure it'll be okay. It's Albedo after all, right? He seems super calm and relaxed." Venti said, attempting to be reassuring.

Kaeya smiled at him. "You're right, thanks Venti."

Before they knew it, they were in front of Kaeya's house. They bid farewell to each other, Venti constantly reminding Kaeya to stay safe.

Venti also ensured to give an extra tip to the uber driver, then slipped out of the car and went straight to bed.

Venti woke up to crying, lots and lots of crying.

Oh shit-

He quickly jumped out of his bed and ran into the living room. He saw Bennett sitting on the coach as the sound of his ugly sobs filled the room.

"Kaeya?" Venti softly muttered, dread consuming him.

"K-Kaeya-" Bennett spluttered, after a few moments of hesitation. "H-he is dead."
