"Alexis come put your shoes on please" Lea shouted through and up the stairs to where her five year old was most likely still playing her new doll her grandma and grandpa brought her a few days ago. She hadn't put it down yet and even insisted that it came in the bath with her every night because it needed to be clean too.
Lea heard the sound of small feet hitting the hardwood floor and soon appeared a small girl with long brown curls bouncing around as she flowed into the kitchen area. "Sorry momma Katie wanted to go to sleep" she explained, Katie was the doll she was attached too.
Lea nodded and smiled. Her child's imagination made her happy, she was so content with life and had no worries other than putting her doll to bed and making sure she was clean. Her daughter's happiness would always be her main priority.
"Where are we going mom?" Alexis asked.
Lea bent down to her tie her shoes. "We are going to the park" Alexis clapped her hands excited at the thought of another day out at the park. She hadn't been in a few weeks as the weather wasn't good but today the sun was shining and not a single cloud existed in the sky.
They whole journey Alexis was singing along to the radio. She took after her mom and had a beautiful voice that went with every song that the radio played. "Mom it's your song" she screamed as she noticed the song came up on the device in the car.
Alexis sang along even louder to her mom's music. She had released 2 more albums since the Louder era and her music was going worldwide and getting more successful to the masses. Lea would normally be embarrassed about her voice on the radio but hearing her daughter sing it just perfect made this moment beautiful.
They parked in their usual spot under an ancient oak tree. Lea helped Alexis out of her small car seat which kept her protected while she drove, she held onto her mom's hand tightly as they walked down the gravel path towards the park area. It wasn't only a playground for small children but had several features such as picnic areas, walking and hike areas that led to further woods and mountains if you walked that far along the trail and other things for sport/nature lovers.
"Can I go on the swing please momma?" Her gorgeous hazel eyes always were a winner not matter which parent she tried them on. Lea sighed and nodded being pulled slightly towards the vacant swing. She helped her daughter onto the chair and pushed the metal rails slowly at first so she could get used to the new motion.
Lea felt two hands cover her eyes from behind pulling her slightly away from the swing. She gasped at first til she noticed the ring on the wedding finger and bite into her lip. "Oh no" she acted along.
"If you kiss me now I won't hurt you" he whispered into her ear so only she could hear.
His accent sent shivers down her spine and into the ground. She kept her eyes closed and turned around placing her lips forcibly against his; she felt his tongue join into the equation and her arms relaxed around his figure.
"Daddy" Alexis jumped off the swing seeing her mom and dad together. He'd been away for the last few days working a few states away and she thought he was coming back tomorrow but he surprised his girls knowing where they'd be.
"Hello sweetheart, have you been a good girl for you mom?" Alexis nodded proudly. Even as a small baby she had been behaved. She had tantrums but they were never anything massive.
"Yes she has Daddy" Lea joined in. "She even made you a picture the other day that she wanted you to take next time you go away" she continued.
"Well princess I'll take it next time and the next I promise" he kissed her nose making her giggle.
"Matthew?" Lea called out as Alexis went off to play on the swing again.
"Yeah?"
"I love you"
"I love you too" he kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms loving around her waist as they watched their little girl play.
