Sayra's POV:

Nightfall... one of the most scariest times for me... from the noises from animals in the woods to tree branches hitting my bedroom window. Looking at my husband who was peacefully sleeping there was something that was off about him like he wasn't acting the same today... Now that I think about it both he and my mother were a bit off today— hopefully, it wasn't something so serious.

8 hours later -

It was now morning and I don't see my husband here...

" ENRIQUE !!! Where are you? "

I hear no reply but I continue calling out his name until I heard noises coming from the living room

"ENRIQUE?!!"...

Surprised seeing both my mother and an unfamiliar man sitting next to her I asked her— " mother who is this ? and where is my husband???"

The mysterious man looks at me with a weird glance and continues to stare at me as my mother replies, " sweetie I'm sorry but Enrique left..."

Shocked at her answer I said – "MOTHER ! WHAT DO YOU MEAN ? HE DIDNT LEAVE ! HE WAS JUST HERE LAST NIGHT !! "I was confused how could he leave? He didnt take his stuff or even his car! How could he have left?

"MOTHER! DO NOT LIE TO ME I KNOW ENRIQUE DID NOT LEAVE ME! HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO BE WITH ME FOREVER! HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE JUST LIKE THAT!!" the mysterious man looks at me and stands up— "i cant take this anymore, sayra your so called husband was in major debt but also your mother and the only way to repay was with his body~~~"

Hearing this was mind blowing! How could this happen? What does he mean repay with "body" i had the courage to ask more questions... " sir but what do you mean repay with his body?"

The man replies- " what i mean was that he sold his soul to me and now he is chained up as punishment for not paying back his debt "

" your mother also needs to pay her debt and the only way for that is for you to come with me " i look at my mother worried but she returns a blank face– " mother what does he mean by that ?!?!"

The mother replies with a dull tone " im sorry but i have to repay my debts one way or another and you will be useful by going with him"

Sayra lets out a worried look " mother please dont tell me you mean..."

The man stops her mid - sentence and grabs her by the waist with a devilish grin
