She contemplated the boy as she sat across from him, watching him as his eyes never left the paper. she parted her lips to say something, but rested her tongue just below her teeth and let out a simple "hm,"

He finally looked up from his paper, his sharp eyes landing on the girl who was far too invested in watching him study. "what?" she moved back abruptly, a blush she tried to contain spreading across her face as she let a red strand of hair fall in front of it.

"oh i um-" her voice barely audible as it was caught in her throat "nothing." James quirked up an eyebrow at the strange Evans girl, but to her surprise stood up from his work and put out his hand toward her.

"what-?" she said, before standing up to join him and after hesitating for a moment too long, held his hand, praying that was his intention after all. "hi" she said, now staring up at the tall, potter boy. his muscular build from years of playing quidditch and his ever-messy hair made it nearly impossibly hard for her to breathe, but she shook her head a little to clear the thoughts of her silly schoolgirl crush.

"hi?" he replied, breaking tension suffocating her, which perhaps only she felt. "uh- mhm" she said, the normally bright and talkative girl suddenly unable to form words in his presence.

She was fine when they hung out with a group of friends, but whenever they were alone - her mind blanked of anything except desire for James.

"okay then" he said, and started walking with his large strides, forcing lily to almost jog to keep up. "where-" she said, trying to compose herself "-are we going?" a smirk worked itself onto James' handsome face, and lily knew from the glint in his dark eyes that she was about to let him get them both into trouble.

Lily would normally be very against this, a top student and a favourite to all her professors, but, being honest, she would do anything if it was with James.
