As the sun rose on the horizon, Elk was the first to wake up and he stretches. He looks over at Adalie and smiles as she sleeps soundly. He gets up, wobbling a bit and he limps around, going for a small walk, trying to stretch his legs and he notices then whenever he walks by, a few centaurs stare at him and he starts looking at the ground to avoid eye contact, "Of course. Now they know who I was..." He continues walking and he hears someone speak to him, "So you were the Nowhere King? But...you don't look like him." He looks at the group of centaurs of all species and he gulps, "I...I used to be...but...not anymore...." Wammawink walks up to him, "Do you regret anything? What caused you to do it all?...." Elk sighs, "I regret everything ad all the pain I have caused you all....it was too late for me to change after I made the biggest mistake in my life...and I couldn't go back...I wish I could...but I can't...I'm sorry for all the pain I have caused you all..."

A coldtaur walks up to him and he places his hand on the elktaur's shoulder, "You have shown us that even the worst can change. Despite everything you have done, you changed and have turned to the good side. And you have earned our respect." They all nod and Elk smiles a bit, and the centaur shaman walks forward, "It's true. You were given another chance, and you used it well." She smiles at him and everyone goes back to get checked up and she looks at Elk, "You should lay down as well. Get your bandages changed." He nods as she takes him back to bed and he lays back down and he sees Adalie awake, looking at him. He smiles at her, "Well, good morning." She holds his hand, smiling back, "Morning." A couple nurses change their bandages and Adalie looks over at Elk, looking at his wounds and he looks at her as she was given some type of drink, "What's that?" A nurse looks at him, "It helps her body and magic heal and restore. It may smell and taste bad, but it helps." She gives him some as well and makes sure he drinks it and they go help their other patients.

The two were quiet and Elk looks at Adalie, "Why did you give me another chance when you brought me back to life? Why didn't you run or yell for help?" Adalie was silent and she sighs, "I saw that you still had some good in you...and I wanted to help you feel more....comfortable with yourself as well...and help you feel more... welcomed and loved than before...." Elk looks at her, and hearing that made him smile. He gets up and sits next to her in her bed and kisses her cheek. She giggles as she gets pulled close to him and they hug one another and Elk looks at her and gently places a kiss on her lips. Adalie kisses him back, and the two snuggle on another and she smiles at him, touching his cheek. He smiles and kisses her forehead, "I do feel more welcomed...and I do feel more loved...You helped me so much...and I appreciate that a lot..." His eyes water and Adalie wipes his tears away, "Don't cry. It's okay."

He chuckles and holds her hand gently, "But I do. I really do. In my old life I was having trouble with that...I felt like I had to fit the picture in order to please people but...you showed me that being myself is never wrong...no matter what anyone says..." Adalie wipes his tears and he nuzzles her, making her giggle and she runs her fingers through his hair, smiling as they laid together in the bed.
