"What snack house will we visit today?" My father asked but I am still in a trance and I can't seem to move on after what happened a while ago.
"Can we just head straight home father?" I asked him and he just gradually agrees
"What happened to you? You always love to go in a snack house after a long day" My father said as we were walking away from the hospital.
"Have you adjusted here?" My father asked
"Hmm. Yeah? But the people in this community is so odd. They are all weird" I told him and he was a bit surprised
"How come you say that?" He asked
"I know mom used to live here but grandma always want me to leave and when I get to know the people around here, everyone was weird" I told him and he just smiled.
"Can we stay here for a bit more? I am studying some artifacts in the place and we must be with your grandma" He said
"Okay~~ but never forget that I love you dad" I suddenly told him
"What's with the sudden confession" He said as he destroyed my fixed hair
"Nothing~ I just want you to know" I told him and he was smiling from ear to ear.
"Dad... Sunghoon will come by our house every weekend. We are working on a project together and we agreed to do it in their house" I told him and he was hesitant at first but I persuaded him in an instant.
We did our usual thing, after eating I guide my grandmother to her room and I went to my room to sleep.
I heard the song again, it put me into a trance that I can't seem to resist. I suddenly fell asleep even though I want to learn about what happened about this town.
"Mari" I heard countless of rumors by the halls.
"Mari... I'm here" she summoned her but based on her voice, she was crying her eyes out.
"Luna? Is that you?" I turned around and saw my mother.
"Basement! Help me Mari~" she said with her husky voice
I followed my mother and she was literally running down as fast as she can. When I reach to her, everything turned black again and all I can hear was voices.
"She called me a while ago mom... And she was crying" my mother explained
"There was a misunderstanding! You're just tired" my grandmother and said.
"Mom~ I am not feeling tired" my mom said and it appeared again.
"What are you hiding from me?" my mother asked but all she received was a hit from the back, it was a needle and it made her fall asleep. It was her brother
What's going onnn~
They drag her to her room and as soon as she woke up, they invented stories for her to believe in it.
Days has passed and she can still hear her crying. As soon as she called my mother's name again, my mom didn't hesitate to go to the secret passages by her guidance.
"You're near Mari~ keep coming" She said.
She took a one last turn by the right and she saw something. I was about to go in but
"Mavy! Cha Mavy! Wake up~ someone is waiting for you" my dad wake me up
"Dad~ Can I ask a question?" I started as soon as I sat up
"okay... What is it?" He asked
"Did Mo---" I stopped as soon as he look at me with so much sadness in his eyes.
"Why are you stopping" he asked as he stand up and open the curtains
"Did grandma have another house bigger than this one? I mean like the size of a conglomerate's house?" I asked him as I prepared my outfit to their house.
"No~ why?" He asked with a fake smile in his face
"I just--" I stopped when I can feel that he was so curious about something
"my dreams~" I told him and he quickly changes his reaction.
"I told you that dreams are not real. You are just making that up in your mind" He was disappointed
"Yeah but it's because of that... I mean.. I kept on--- argh! Nevermind, why did I even bother talking to you about stuff like this. You don't even believe me" I said as I stomp my way to the bathroom.
"I am trying okay? If you can open up to me a bit more" he said and I heard him close my bedroom door.
"I did" I told myself and started to wash up.
Who will even believe me that I am dreaming on something more realistic that my grandparents are devils who locked up their daughter in an underground cell.
I put my clothes on after taking a shower and twirled my hair with a bath towel to dry it up.
I head to my grandmother's bedroom and she was just looking out of the window.
"Grandma~ I will be heading out and will do my project elsewhere" I told her as I kissed her cheeks.
She tightly grab on my arm and spewed nonsense.
"Luna! Why did you do such a thing! We're your family" she said angrily.
"I shouldn't have! I shouldn't have let you stay out late at night. You shouldn't have done anything" she said as she pulled me to her while she was crying.
"I-- I am a terrible parent" she said and she was not willing to let me go.
"Mom! Mom! It's your granddaughter! It's Mavy mom" my dad entered the room and removed her hands from me.
"Mavy! Go and welcome your guest... I will talk to her for a moment" My dad told me and I slowly walk out of the door.
"Mom~ You should control it~ Mavy must never know" I heard my father said that while I was about to go down.
There's something that they are hiding from me. I just don't know what it is.
I head downstairs and saw Sunghoon by the living room.
"You ready?" He asked with a cheerful vibe.
"Yeah" I said as I took my bag but he quickly get it and wear it instead.
"Do you need assistance?" He asked me as he look at my foot.
"I can handle it" I told him
I need to know what exactly are they hiding from me.
