59. Peace

A/N: Going into this chapter, just remember that this is a story with a VERY happy ending for everyone.

*A few hours later*

Relationship growth would indicate that the two of them woke up without problems the next morning.

But one of the most important rules in a relationship is that you can't go to sleep angry. Taehyun realized when he woke up to go to the bathroom that Beomgyu fell asleep angry.

The aura was strange. Beomgyu was laying there, seemingly sleeping peacefully, but the slight scrunch of his eyebrows and uneven breathing meant that he was probably hurting before he fell asleep. Taehyun looked at his closed eyes before squeezing him tightly.

"Ow," Beomgyu groaned, pulling out of Taehyun's arms and rolling over to face the other way.

"Beomgyu," Taehyun whispered, kissing his shoulder. "My love, I'm sorry."

Beomgyu sighed when he realized what he was talking about. "Taehyun, go back to sleep."

"I can't." He sat up and Beomgyu groaned again, checking his phone to see that it was nearing 2 a.m. "We can't go to bed angry Beomgyu. We have to talk about it."

"Are you angry?" Beomgyu asked. "Because otherwise, I don't know what you mean."

Obviously, Beomgyu was irritated. He was being snappy. Some could argue it was because he was just abruptly woken up, but he didn't act like this whenever he's been woken up.

"Why do you do this?" Taehyun asked, getting up and standing next to the bed on legs that were still shaky.

"What are you talking about?" He sat up and turned the lamp on, looking like he was ready to pass out again.

"It's just... I try to do things to make sure that we continue having a healthy relationship, and you don't even care-"

"You woke me up in the middle of the night, Taehyun! To make up some bullshit! And now I'm the worst person ever because I'm tired as fuck?!"

Taehyun's eyes widened and he angrily stormed into the bathroom to slam the door behind him. "I hate you!" He screamed. His breathing calmed when he realized what he just said and he started tearing up. "I love you," he whispered, taking out his phone when he felt it buzz.

It was a picture from Beomgyu of a doctor's note that said he had Meniere's disease. He didn't know what it was so he went to search it up, tearing up when he realized what it was. Beomgyu would be okay. It wasn't fatal. But... it could cause him to go deaf.

After a few seconds of thinking, he opened the door and gasped when Beomgyu was standing right in front of it like he was about to knock. He panted for a moment and then threw himself on Beomgyu to hug him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He sniffled. "I'm so sorry. I understand why you were upset."

"I just found out a couple days ago. It wasn't serious last night. When I woke up there was a loud ringing in my ear though."

"Which one?" Beomgyu pointed to his right ear and Taehyun leaned in to gently kiss it. "Does it hurt right now?"

Beomgyu shook his head. "I'm sorry."

"Why?"

"For yelling at you."

Taehyun sighed. "You had every right. I was being annoying-"

"Fuck that Taehyun." He grabbed the blonde's hand and pulled him out of the bathroom. "It's not your fault, okay? None of this is your fault, and I'm a fucking moron for making it your problem."
