Lady of Mind

The ginormous doors opened smoothly to reveal her, in all her new majesty. Her very aura did not glow anymore, it shined. Her eyes had changed colour to a clear emerald green, highlighting how she had changed.

"I wondered if you would become the next Lady of Air or Lady of Mind and which one you would prefer. I see now that the new Lady of Mind definitely suits you"

"Just like how being the Grand Master suits you" She replied with a smile.

He grinned broadly at her comment, he stood in front of the massive throne, looking like he belonged.

Alicia then noticed another presence, she looked on in surprise as she saw a familer women standing by Mieczyslaw's side, beaming at her.

"Madam Rucia?"

"Congratulations on your promotion my Lady, please, just call me Rucia"

"I feel like she's going to forget, just like I do" Mieczyslaw said playfully.

Madam Rucia let out a good natured sigh, shaking her head at both of them.

"I called her here to offer her the Lady of Air position but she rudely turned me down" He said but she could tell he didn't say it with malice.

"You turned it down?" Alicia asked, shocked.

Madam Rucia's eyes twinkled as she said "Well it didn't to escape my notice, that if I were to become Lady of Air I would have to move to a different district and someone might need me as they get used to their new role. I also do not wish to give my position away to some youth who thinks they know better. I just know the moment I leave my role in the house hold, you'd be lost without me, am I wrong?"

Alicia couldn't help but smile, she felt like some tension had been washed away that she hadn't known was there.

"Right" He clapped his hands together "Lets get down to business. I heard from Ren that when a new Lord or Lady is appointed, its custom to call a meeting with the other Lords and Ladies" Mieczyslaw grinned, a grin that spoke of trouble and mischief "So, lets call them all down here"

Though Alicia did notice that despite his happiness, it felt a little...strained?

The Lords and Ladies did not hesitate in responding to Stiles call.

He lead Madam Rucia and Alicia to the court room where he'd had his first meeting with the Lords and Ladies, it hadn't been that long but it felt such a while ago.

He knew he was a lot more confident in himself and his position than he used to be.

Stiles knew they were already waiting for him to arrive. He opened the door for Alicia and Madam Rucia to go through first then he walked in afterwards, he was looking forward to their expressions especially a certain Lord.

All eyes fell on him as he entered. He felt no need to suppress his own power as he spoke to them.

They seemed surprised and a little cautious which he could understand, this was his first chosen person to drink from the Silver Soul after all, however one seemed the most uncomfortable out of them all. They'd be able to feel her familer new power as soon as Alicia entered the room.

"You've probably guessed why I have called you here, I was told that it was custom to call an meeting when an event like this happens"

The first person to speak up was the Lady of Earth "Is it normal to have a servant here?"

She didn't sound annoyed however, only curious.

He opened his mouth to reply but it turned out he didn't need too.

"She is the head of my household servants and has agreed to help me come to grips with my role, she is just as much of part of this as I am" Alicia stepped forwards, addressing the Lady of Earth and everyone else.

Mieczylaw smiled warmly at her which made her feel proud but then both their eyes turned the most uncomfortable in the room.

"Yes, the Lord of Power, is there something you wish to say?"

He at first hesitated then said, eyes down, not looking them in the eyes "I am...only worried that this may be a choice out of personal history with her and not for the districts sake"

Stiles smiled coldly as he replied, sarcasm dripping in his tone, he really loved seeing him squirm as they both know what this was really about "Of course I'm sure you are very concerned"

He then addressed everyone in the room, apart from Madam Rucia and the Lady of Mind. 

"Since we are here, I think it's a great time to give you all an update on what has happened recently. First of all, most of the current members of the council are dead"

He could feel the shock in the room vibrate through them all. 

"Secondly, they tried to poison me and if it weren't for the new Lady of Minds brave actions where she drank the poison herself which gave me enough time to find the cure, I would not be here"

The new Lady of Mind stepped forward, her eyes zeroing in on the Lord of Power, her voice holding practically challenging him to say something  "So, are those reasons still too personal for you? I after all was close with the Grand Master before all this. If theres anything more you want to say, we'd love to hear it" 

Stiles hid a grin as Alicia put more pressure on the Lord of Power which made the other Ladies and Lords view him in an even more negative light. 

She would be good at this, he knew. 

"So, anything else you wish to add?" He prompted, loving how the Lord seemed to sink into his position as all eyes stared at him with disproval, under their stares all he could manage was a shake of his head.

Stiles could do this for hours but he was aware that the other Lords and Ladies wouldn't be best pleased with him if he did. 

Reluctantly he turned his focus away and on to the meeting as a whole. 

"The council will be able to get back on its feet again and this time they'll be more aware of our world and of the treaty" He had already made up his mind that he'd monitor them, making sure they didn't do anything stupid again and make sure he wouldn't regret sparing the last two wolves.

He could feel that they were all pleased with this news so he moved on to the real reason they were here. 

"As I have appointed a new Lady of Mind. I was told by Ren a while back, who was very knowlegable on this matter, that you would all need to recognise whoever I chose as the new Lord or Lady as one of your own before she can take official duties"

Ren, the Lord of Souls beamed at the praise and before anyone could do anything, he said loudly and clearly, his eyes started to glow "I, the Lord of Souls recognise the New Lady of Mind" 

Stiles was pleased but he had to admit Ren's enthusiasm for whatever he did, was a little strange, even a bit on the creepy side, he'd probably talk to him about it at some point...and maybe put  some more distance between them as well.

But Rens enthusiasm seemed to be catching as one after the other, all the Lords and Ladies repeated his words with energy and warmth, only one Lord sounded a bit strained and humiliated. 

Alicia smiled, this feeling of being accepted by them was wonderful. Madam Rucia even gave her a proud smile, it made her feel like she could do anything.
