The next morning at school, Heeyeon was talking to Anjae about what had all happened. "I'm surprised that through all of this, his birthday party remained a secret," Anjae said. "Whose birthday party?" a voice from behind the girl's spoke. They froze in shock and slowly looked at each other before simultaneously turning around. "Oh, it's just Chenle," Anjae said in relief.

Chenle feigned offense. "We're throwing Jisung a surprise birthday party," Heeyeon answered the boy's question. "And no one bothered to tell me?!" He nearly shouted. "Yeah, because you can't keep a secret," Heeyeon remarked.

"Hmm, fair enough. What's the plan, though?"

"We're going to rent out an arcade and have all of his favorite foods." Anjae chimed in. "Oh, he'll love that!" Chenle exclaimed. "Who will love what?" A voice from behind the trio asks. They all freeze in horror because this time they all recognize the voice. "Umm, Jaemin will love the coffee shop here!" Heeyeon says quickly. "He's obsessed with Americanos."

"Oh cool, we should all go together soon," Jisung says innocently believing her. "Yeah, of course. Umm, let's get to class." Heeyeon said linking her arm to his and practically dragging him down the hallway. The crisis had been averted but she didn't want to take any chances of Chenle spoiling anything.

"Heeyeon, wait I need to tell you something," Jisung says tugging the girl's arm so she'll stop walking. Heeyeon turns around with her eyebrows raised in anticipation. "My birthday is on Thursday, but I won't be here. I go see my grandparents every year because they're getting really old and I like to see them whenever I can." He explained.

"Oh, I know. Anjae told me already." Heeyeon stated. "That's so sweet of you, Ji." She smiled.

"I'm leaving today and I won't be back until Friday night." He informed. This was actually perfect for Heeyeon. She could use this time to finish setting up for his surprise party. "I'll be leaving after school, after I go home to pack first, of course. So, I won't see you until Saturday..." He said in a solemn tone.

"Jisung, are you trying to tell me that you're going to miss me?" Heeyeon raised an eyebrow at him. "No... but I am trying to guilt-trip you into saying it..." He admitted. Jisung watched as Heeyeon's eyes squinted and her teeth were fully displayed. She had dimples, which he noticed before but they made her look so beautiful. Her laughter was like music to his ears.

Wow, I think I'm in love. He thought to himself.

The sound of the tardy bell ringing startled the couple in the hallway. They looked at each other before sprinting down the hall to the classroom. Entering the classroom late and giggling, earned them a few looks from their classmates and teacher.

"I understand that I am not your normal teacher, as she is on maternity leave, but please treat me with the same respect you treat her with. I will give you a pass on your tardy only this one time." The substitute teacher, Mr. Han, announced. "Yes sir, it won't happen again." Heeyeon said politely, dragging her feet as she made her way to her seat.

During lunch, Heeyeon had library duty so Jisung hadn't seen her since first period. He went home and grabbed a snack, procastinating his packing process. "Jisung! There's a young lady here to see you!" His mother announced from downstairs.

He threw his legs off of his bed and dragged himself downstairs. He assumed it was just Anjae, but when he saw Heeyeon his entire body jolted to life. The girl standing in front of him waved with a wide smile. "I stopped by to help you pack if that's okay."

"Of course, thank you. Umm mom, this is my...girlfriend, Heeyeon."

"Wow, you are such a beautiful young lady. Jisung has told me so much about you!" Mrs. Park smiles at Heeyeon. "He never stops talking about you." She tried to whisper but she knew Jisung heard her when he groaned loudly. Heeyeon just giggled at him. She thought it was sweet.

Mrs. Park finally dismisses them to go upstairs. "So, you came to help me pack?" Jisung asks. "Maybe. Maybe I just wanted to come over because I'm going to miss you..." She looked around the room aimlessly as a smile crept onto Jisung's face.

Jisung walked over to her and picked her up, squeezing her tightly. Heeyeon squeaked at the sudden action. she wrapped her arms around his neck and they stayed in each other's arms for what felt like an eternity.

They pulled away slightly and stared deeply into each other's eyes. Jisung gave her a look as if he was asking for permission. Heeyeon closed her eyes and he moved closer. Just as their lips touched, Jisung's head turned. It had been quiet enough for him to hear his mother walking up the stairs. He quickly sat Heeyeon down and gently patted her on her head.

Heeyeon was confused until she saw Mrs. Park walk through the door holding a plate of cookies. "I picked these up from the store yesterday and I really need to get rid of them, so please help yourselves." She sat the cookies down on Jisung's desk and left the room.

Heeyeon cleared her throat, tucked her hair behind her ear, and grabbed a cookie. The atmosphere suddenly became awkward despite what they were about to do before the interruption. It was actually quite funny. Heeyeon began to laugh to herself, earning a concerned look from Jisung.

"What?" He asked sounding almost worried. "Nothing." She answered quickly. Jisung left it alone and went to grab his suitcase from his closet. He came back and sat it next to Heeyeon on his bed. They got busy with the task at hand. Heeyeon didn't know where anything was so she decided to fold the clothes and fit them into the suitcase. When it came to the underwear, Jisung did that part himself.

The packing was finished and it was time for him to go. She helped him load his things into his car and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before watching him drive away, blushing. It was now her turn to get into her car and leave. Mrs. Park was standing at the door the whole time watching her son and his girlfriend leave, waving at both of them.

Short chapter because the whole thing was improvised😀
