I look at the cold, empty ceiling above me. The room is calm, and quite. I like it here. The bed is comfortable, the food is good, and the people are nice.

Well, I say nice, but they are more like just polite.

Mom....
no...
Not-mom, was a lot meaner to me when I asked for food. Unlike the people here. If I asked when I could eat, they would simply tell me and leave.

I never tried to really converse with any of the people that came here. I was given direct orders from Chronostasis to not bother anyone.

I wonder when Chronostasis will be back. He hasn't come to see me in a day or two. I miss talking to people.

I get up off my bed and walk to the bathroom. In the room is a toilet, sink, and small shower. I turn to the sink, looking at the mirror just above it.

My appearance has gotten better. Probably because of the diet I was put on and the frequent showers.

This made it a lot easier to look at myself. I almost look normal, except I can't get over how much bigger I am. Have I really been locked up that long?

As I'm lost in thought, I'm snapped back to reality by a knock on the door. Is it time to eat already?

I walk over to the door and open it. Before me stands Chronostasis. Huh, that's a first.

"good morning miss l/n" he said.

"Who?" I asked, my head tilted slightly to the right in confusion.

"that's your last name, didn't you know?" He asked.

"Oh... I guess I didn't remember it..." I chuckled awkwardly.

"that's fine. Anyways, please get dressed and meet me back out here." He said.

I nodded and closed the door. I opened the wardrobe they gave me. It was mostly black or white long sleeved tee shirts that mostly fit me. And some black pants. I pulled out a white shirt and some pants and threw them on. I didn't bother freshening up, my appearance doesn't matter.

I went back outside and looked to Chronostasis. He led me down the labyrinth of halls. At some point we were met with a black door. He opened it and ushered me inside.

I walked in and saw overhaul sitting at a desk in front of me. It was a big, dark wooden desk. The walls were bare and white. The room could only be described as... Sterile.

"Please, heave a seat." Overhaul said.

I quickly complied, taking a seat at the chair across from him. We sat and stared at each other for a moment before he spoke up.
"Y/n, please show me your quirk."

That took me by surprise. "y-you what me to what?" I asked.

"use your quirk." He stated.

I became very nervous. "u-m I... Well I..." I stumbled over my words.

He sat across from me patiently. "I.... Can't" I confessed.

"cant what?" He pried.

"use... It." I said.

"Of course you can't." He said flatly.

"Yeah... I was told I should neve-"

He cut me off, "your quirkless."

....

"what." I said blankly, completely caught off guard.

"you can't use your quirk because you don't have one. Take a look." He pushed a file towards me.
