"Come on, we all know it's not going to work," I said.
"Can't we just pretend?" Said my best friend, Jason.
"It'll be fun!" Said Stella.
"Alright, alright," I said, "I guess we could just pretend."
"Yes!" Exclaimed Jacob, "You never let us have any fun."
"I call water!" I said.
"Fire!" Stella said.
"Ice!" Exclaimed Jason, smiling.
"I get electricity!" Jacob said, excited.
I pretended to turn all my focus to the water and stir it up into a whirlpool. The water started to move slowly at first, then faster, more powerful. There wasn't a whirlpool, though, just powerful waves. I decided it was just a coincidence. The waves died down, so it was definitely just a coincidence because I was still "controlling" the tides. Stella started a huge fire and tried to burn Jason. I let her have a little fun, then, "summoned a tsunami" and put out the "fire" Stella made.
"Oh, it's on!" Said Jason.
Jason "froze" Stella. She froze in place, but was still laughing. Stella then thawed herself (using her fire powers), only to be zapped by Jacob.
"Owww," Stella said.
"You're good at pretending to be hurt," I said.
"No, I was actually shocked," Stella replied.
"Sure you were," Said Jason, his voice laced with sarcasm. An awkward silence followed this.
In a couple minutes, we got back to our game. I decided to outsmart them. I then calmed the water. While I was doing this, Jason froze me right after I was shocked by Jacob.
