It was a cold day in Atlas, as it always was every single day. How people managed to live like this was a mystery to most, but that didn't stop people from not only living, but thriving in the tundra that is Solitas.

And none thrived more than Singed in his hidden laboratory. Well it was really more of a castle from the size of it but that didn't change what it was used for.

Experiments...

Doctor Singed was known as The Mad Alchemist all across Remnant. He was the best. Responsible for several major breakthroughs in his field.

Mixing the arts of science, dust, and a little madness, he was able to do the impossible.

As a matter of fact he was currently enjoying some lovely security footage, of his greatest breakthrough, hunting down some trespassers.

A scrawny looking fellow ran down a dark corridor, towards a locked wooden door.

He quickly ripped a pipe off the wall and began trying to wrench it open.

Fleg: "I told you this was a bad deal man!"

A voice behind him spoke up.

Boggin: "Ah, shut up and move!"

He said before blasting the door with a bolt of green fire.

He then slammed his shoulder into it, bursting through the door as it continued to burn.

The two ran out into a long and winding corridor with several bridges above.

The walls bellowed steam from the old rusty pipes that lined them.

Fleg: "Which way!?"

Boggin looked for a brief moment before gesturing his head to the left.

Boggin: "Over here!"

As the two began running a terrifying howl rang through the corridor. Fleg looked back to see a glowing green figure run across one of the bridges before he quickly turned back.

The two struggled not to get scalded by steam as they bumped into barrels containing a sickly green fluid.

Boggin quickly turned to cover his partner as he began firing his green fire spewing shotgun at the beast.

Boggin: "Come on you mog!!!"

Fleg quickly turned back to see the glowing green figure running across another bridge before looking back and seeing the tram the two had arrived in.

Fleg: "I see it! I see it!"

He turned back to Boggin.

Fleg: "We're almost there man! Let's go!"

Boggin continued to fire his gun, covering his partners escape as Fleg ran down the next corridor, towards the tram.

Boggin: "You want this, huh?"

Another howl echoed through the halls as Fleg quickly hopped inside the tram.

Boggin: "Hold on!"

Fleg turned back to see his partner running down the corridor, towards him.

He smiled as the two were almost free.

But then his worst nightmare came true.

The glowing green figure was right on Boggin's tail. Boggin was too slow, he was never going to make it.

Fleg took a deep breath before grabbing the heavy door and beginning to close it.

Fleg: "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
