~Harry~
I watched as she walked towards us, her hips swaying slightly. She looked healthier than when I'd last seen her, happier. The color had returned to her cheeks and her eyes were full of the life that had been drained from them. Drained by me, by the world she was thrust into.
"What...where?" Niall asked, his face contorting with confusion.
"Tori," I shouted as I stood, but Niall lunged for me, grabbing my arm.
"What are you yelling about, mate, she isn't here." He said as I struggled to free myself from his grasp.
"Let go, I-"
"It's time to go home I think..." Niall said, grabbing my jacket.
"She's right there, Niall look." I yelled, pointing towards Tori who walked towards us, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, glancing shyly at the ground.
"Niall, it's okay, I'm here now." She said, her voice soft. I looked back at him, gesturing to her as she stood in front of us, clear as day.
"She's not there, mate." He said, "Look at me," I did, struggling to focus on his eyes. "She's not here, Harry." I glanced back towards her but he was right, she had vanished. "Harry, what did you take?"
"She was...she was right there..." I breathed, my eyes darting around the bar.
"Let's go..." Niall said, glancing around the bar. Everyone was staring at me and I felt my heart speed up. As Niall led me to the car he'd hired, I continued to glance behind me expecting her to be there, but she never appeared.
"I swear to god, she was right there..."
"I know, mate, but she wasn't, we don't know where she is." He said, dialing a number on his phone.
"Can you call her?" I asked, my head lolling to the side as my eyes lost focus.
"No, man...I..." He stuttered. "Lou, Harry's messed up man, he thought he saw her in the bar and totally lost it...No, I just need your help." He said, glancing at me as I rest my forehead against the window as my entire body began to quiver. "No, I don't know...maybe...just fucking help me...okay I'll see you in ten." Getting to my room was a total blur, but I started to regain my focus as I lay on the bed of the hotel room.
"Niall,"
"Yea, Harry..." Niall said, coming out of the washroom with a cup of water.
'I need you to do me a favour." I said, tugging my phone out of my pants. I grabbed a pen from beside the bed and attempted to write down a phone number.
"What is it?" He asked, peeking at what I was writing.
"Call this guy and go meet him, get whatever you can...I need..." My speech was garbled but I didn't care, I needed more and I needed it badly.
"No." Niall said. There was pain and shock in his voice and I looked up, our eyes meeting.
"What?" I asked, struggling once again to focus.
"I will not go on a drug run for you." He stood very still, his chest rising and falling slowly. "Don't do this to me, Harry."
"Yes you will,"
"And what makes you say that?" He asked, his pale skin growing red with anger.
"You-" I began but the door clicked open and Louis appeared.
"What's going on?" He asked, looking between Niall and I.
"Nothing, I'll do it myself." I said, getting up and making my way to the washroom. Niall tried to follow but my legs were longer and I made it there quicker, shutting and locking the door behind me. I yanked my wallet from my back pocket and pulled the same small baggie out, dumping the contents on the counter. I arranged a line and knelt to take it, feeling every nerve and synapse fire in my brain as I did.
"Fuck..." I murmured. There was a symphony of bangs on the bathroom door as both Louis and Niall shouted my name. I stood up, my head spinning and grabbed a glass from the small tray beside the sink.
"Harry," Tori's voice sent a shiver down my spine and I looked up at myself in the mirror, her eyes meeting mine from behind me. "You need to move on." She whispered, her delicate fingers running down the back of my arm.
"I'm never going to, you know that." I said, gripping the corners of the sink and bowing my head.
"You have to, I need you to." She whispered. "I love you, but I have to let you go."
"No, you don't have to do anything," I said, standing to turn around, but once again, she had disappeared. "No, no, no." I said, looking around desperately, I shook the small baggie checking for any last bits that I could manage but there was nothing. "Come back," I screamed, grabbing the glass from the counter once again. I lifted it and threw it against the mirror, shattering both. Shards of glass rained down infront of me and I reached out, grabbing a piece. As I did, the door bust open and Louis and Niall stood, taking in the scene. I looked down, a large shard of glass was in my palm and I felt a release as I closed my fingers around it, squeezing as hard as I could. I heard a cry of pain and looked up slowly at Louis and Niall who were rushing towards me before realizing it had come from my own mouth. When I released my grip, the bloody shard fell to the ground beside me. For a moment, I heard my heart beating in my ears louder than anything I had ever heard before. "Tori," I muttered. My lips were dry and I felt as if I had cotton in my mouth. I sunk to the ground and Louis caught my limp body.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck..." Louis chanted, pacing back and forth. "I fucking hate her." He said and I shook my head, groaning.
"Call Matt," Niall barked.
"No," I shouted, knocking Louis' phone out of his hand. He stood, scrambling to get it and I took my chance, grabbing a larger shard of glass, holding it to my wrist. "I can't take it..." I whispered, looking at the already bloody gash on my hand.
"Harry," Niall said, his voice calm but stern. "Put. That. Down."
"I can't." My hand shook with anticipation as the sharp edge neared my skin, but suddenly, as if someone had turned out the lights, all was dark and I could no longer hear, see or feel the world around me. But it was nothing new, it was the same numbness I'd felt since the moment Tori left me.
