Hi, this is my first book so sorry for how bad it is. It may have some weird parts at the beggining because it was originally gonna be in spanish and I didn't wanna translate everything myself, so I just put it in google translate. Hope you like it.

Her breathing was labored as she drove as fast as she could. She felt the adrenaline rushing through her veins as the other car got closer and closer to her.

- Nooooooooo!!! - ___ shouted while her cousin's car passed her in Mario Kart. Her nine-year-old cousin had just beaten her. She couldn't believe it! Her little cousin, who had just started playing, had beaten her at her own game.

- Ha! I knew I would beat you! I'm the best at everything!!!- Her little cousin said while jumping on the couch. - Whatever, you only won because I let you win! I demand another round! This time I won't hold back and I'll beat you Max! - The (h/c) haired girl shouted.

Usually, the girl was calm, and only screamed when she stubbed her pinky toe (but who doesn't scream when it happens? It's normal -_-). She usually wore (your clothing type) but she was wearing some shorts/ a skirt as she was spending some time in her family's farm and it was hot. At that moment, she had just escaped a family gathering with her younger cousin to play Mario Kart, which was why she was using more formal clothing, that still let her skin breathe.

Outside, was a patio with beautiful white tables adorned with details and ornaments. A food bar was to the right of this patio, and to the left there were some purple tents. Her family was there too. It was their anual picnic. Right next to the lake, too.

As her cousin continued to bother her, she got up and tried to grab him to hit his arm -Come here you little gremlin!- she screamed at him playfully as she tried to hit his head with a pillow. Her cousin jumped off of the couch and ran across the room to the exit, followed by ___.

They ran past the tables and their family, who were currently eating. The moon shined bright, down upon them, and the only thing heard over the quiet chatter of people and the music of the crickets was their screams as they chased each other.

Their banter lead them to the lake, where the ducks swam quietly and the fish hid in hopes to live. They both fell in, scaring all animals away. Yet they kept laughing, as it wasn't the first time they had gotten in. They threw water at each other and laughed for a while.

Suddenly, they felt a tug at their skins, only the parts under the water. In pain, they both started running out of the water, screaming for their parents to help them. In a panic, ___ grabbed her cousin and threw him out, seeing he had leeches on his lower body. She tried to get out after him, but she slipped and hit her head against a rock.

She started floating away, sinking deeper into the water. Her cousin cried as her family called 911. And as the family panicked, ___ slowly sank to the bottom, letting her last breath leave her mouth as she closed her eyes for the last time. Or so she thought...
