"R-ryujin. She kissed Lia." Karina told Winter what she saw. She couldn't stop crying. Winter doesn't know what to do but hug her comfort her with her presence. Both of them are seating on Winter's couch in her office.
"I don't know what I did wrong for her to do that." Winter can hear the pain from Karina's voice and words. She broke the hug and cupped Karina's face, wiping her tears with her thumb.
"Hey, look at me. You didn't do anything wrong alright? It's her fault. You shouldn't blame yourself for what she did. You're the one who's hurting right now." She kissed Karina's forehead hugging her again.
Time passed and Karina fell asleep in Winter's arms. Winter just let her sleep for awhile until Chaeryeong entered the office.
"Minjeong-ah, should I just take her home? I have spare keys to her house with me." Chaeryeong said wiggling her keys on her hand. But Winter doesn't want to be away to Karina right now.
"We'll be having our day off tomorrow right?" Chaeryeong nodded and widened her eyes thinking about what Winter's question will lead into.
"Can I go with you? She's not okay and I want to be there for her."
"I don't think that's a good ide..."
"Please?" Winter didn't let Chaeryeong finish her sentence. She can't say no to the girl who wants nothing but her bestfriend's happiness.
They are on their way to Karina's house and she's still in deep slumber. She's been way too tired for crying all day. Winter's heart can't handle the pain Karina's heart.
"Thank you for letting me come with you, Chae." Winter smiles at the rear view mirror where Chaeryeong and Karina at.
"It's nothing. You cared about my bestfriend, so it's fine." After that, silence surrounded them since they chose not to make a noise for Karina to sleep well until they arrived at her house.
"Have you eaten?" Winter asked Chaeryeong who just came out of Karina's room to put her bestfriend on the bed.
"Not yet. But I'm craving for some chicken right now." She hold her stomach who's been making weird noises ever since they arrived.
"Okay, I'll order some for dinner." Chaeryeong just nodded and they wait for the food Winter ordered.
