"Where'd you find her? Some alleyway?"
"No. The Warriors had ambushed her by the looks of it."
"She had a pretty good amount of cash. She was probably the one to rob Marley's bank."
"All by herself? Jesus."
"You know she can probably hear you, right? Her eyes are fluttering."
"Hange, Armin, take care of her."
You struggled to get your eyes to open. You were barely conscious, but you could feel the splitting headache already. The light slowly came back as you opened your eyes. As the light cleared and your vision came back, you could make out the faces surrounding you.
They must have been the ones who were talking. One stood almost directly over you, their long brown ponytail only inches from your face. They had a pair of glasses that sat at the bridge of their nose and they were dressed in clean clothing as if they were just washed.
The other face belonged to a younger boy with bright blond hair that only reached his eyebrows. He looked down at you with a worried expression, holding a wet cloth in his hand that was covered in blood.
The final figure that stood in the small tent was a tall boy with long dirty blonde hair, almost in a mullet style. He had a wide brimmed hat on, matching his attire. He was dressed in a dark buttoned up shirt with a leather vest and jeans.
You propped your body up with your elbows and they all stood still. "Try not to move so fast." The blonde haired boy put the cloth down and came to your side, crouching down. "Can I ask where I am?" You held your head as you looked around the tent and got a glimpse of outside. "You're at our camp." The blonde boy said as he put his arm underneath you to help you off the sheets on the ground.
"Where is that exactly?" You bent over to wipe off the dirt on your clothing. "Just outside of Paradis." The dirty blonde haired boy said as he pulled open the tent's entrance. "Shit." You muttered as you stepped outside the tent, looking around the area.
It was a small camp that had been set up in the cover of the woods. There must've been about 5 tents and just about that many people. They all stopped what they were doing and looked at you as if you were some creature. "I'm guessing you aren't a friend of the Warriors?" The dirty blonde boy held out your satchel, which still had the money from the bank.
"That's who those people were? I barely remember a thing." You shook your head and took the satchel, placing it around your body. "Yeah, you're lucky Connie and I were there." He pointed to the bald kid staring at you from across the camp.
"Well thanks..." You looked at the boy as he peered down at you. "Jean. Jean Kirstein. And that blonde kid is Armin Arlert, and the crazy one over there is Hange Zoe." He pointed to the two others that were in the tent. "So y'all are a bunch of outlaws too?" You smirked as everyone started to gather.
"I'm guessing from the grand event in Marley, you are too?" Armin emerged from the tent and beckoned for everyone to approach you. First was a girl with long brown hair tied up, and wearing a long apron. "Sasha Braus." She smiled and grabbed your hand, shaking it vigorously.
After Sasha walked away there was Connie, the bald kid and a tall, muscular blond guy. "I'm Connie Springer and this is Reiner Braun." They both gave you delightful smiles and walked away.
The last two to come up were a black haired girl with a bright red scarf wrapped around her and a brown haired boy with his chin length hair tied back messily. "Eren Jaeger." The boy said, giving you a dull look. "Mikasa Ackerman." The girl gave you a small nod and walked off.
"I guess you can go and talk to Levi and Erwin." Armin said, pointing to the largest tent sitting on the outskirts of the camp.
"Huh?" You questioned as you squinted to try and see inside the tent. "Erwin Smith is our leader and Levi is our lead enforcer. Hange is our second-in-command." Armin placed his hands on your back and pushed you towards the tent.
You walked nervously towards the tent, gripping your satchel tightly. "Pardon." You quietly said as you stood outside the tent. "Yes?" A tall blonde man emerged from the tent. From the looks of it, he must be Erwin.
"You must be the girl Jean picked up outside Marley." He smiled at you and motioned you to enter the tent. "Yes, thank you for letting me rest here." You dug into your satchel and pulled out half of the money you had stashed in there.
You held out the money and a man from the corner of the tent stood up, grabbing the money from your hand. "Now what do you want?" The short black haired guy said as he sat back down in his chair. "Uh Armin told me to speak with you guys..."
"Levi and I have already discussed what to do with you." Erwin sat down on the edge of one of the two beds that sat in the tent. "What do you mean, what to do with me?" You nervously looked at Levi, who was still glaring at you.
"It's pretty impressive that you robbed the bank without any help. We always need more people to help, so we wanted to offer for you to join us." Erwin looked back at Levi, who shook his head. "I don't care as long as you're not whiny and can hold yourself." Levi stood up with the money and walked out of the tent. "We're the Scouts and we've been on the road for a while, I hope you find yourself useful here." Erwin smiled and stood up, following Levi out of the tent.
"Thank you, sir." You looked outside the tent to see Jean and Connie standing outside, looking at you. "Great, another girl to boss me around." Connie smiled and grabbed you by the shoulder. "Don't worry partner, you'll fit right in."
