Your P.O.V

↝Next morning

"Y/n, I'm hungryy" Tōya whined as he sat at the table in the kitchen with his head in the palm of his hand
Fuyumi flicked his forehead "stop pressuring him!"
"I am almost finished" I chuckled as I put the freshly made pancakes on the plates I prepared. I made smaller ones for Natsuo since he's still little

I brought the plates to the children sitting at the table and bowed
"I hope you'll like it"

It's the second day of me begining my work here as a servant. My family was known to serve the Todoroki kingdom for generations, I even sometimes pass my grandmother in the corridors
We all work in our own parts or zones. I watch over the heirs, my mother helps the queen and my father takes care of the weaponry and armor

I was taught manners, some basic cooking, cleaning and basic self defense to prepare for this job. I was also taught by one of the higher servants here how to read when I was younger, since my mother took me here with her
I know a few stories from memory now, I can't wait to recite them to the royal hairs soon

"Woah this is so good!" Fuyumi said in awe from my cooking. It wasn't that good, my father always said it could be better
"It's alright" Tōya added
Natsuo just silently ate with a wide smile on his face

"I'm glad you like it" I smiled at them
"Y/n, what will you eat for breakfast?" Fuyumi asked and a waved my hands "I'll find something later, don't worry about me your majesty"

She shook her head "I will worry about you. Make sure you eat and stay healthy, that's what mother says"
I nodded "then I shall listen to you and your mother's wisdom"
I then proceeded to look out of the big window of the kitchen

The sun seems to shine really bright this morning, yet it is cold out. I guess that's spring for you...
The birds are up since five in the morning and blooming flowers scent every corner and crevice

"What would you like to do today?" I asked the heirs and Tōya's head perked up from his plate
"I want to show you how strong I am!" He raised his voice, sounding so determent
A smile crept up on my face again "I'd love to see it!"

A small blush powdered his cheeks
He jumped from his chair and ran up to me, grabbing my hand. His action startled me
He started to drag me from the kitchen

I looked back and called out to Fuyumi "Take Natsuo with you to the gardens when you're done!"
She yelled an 'alright!' in response

Tōya kept pulling me through the halls and room until we reached the entrance to the huge garden with various flowers and nicely trimmed, intense green grass
Even though Tōya was just a little shorter than me, he was totally stronger

He let go of me hand as we reached a place with no flowers what so ever near the woods where the Todoroki residence doesn't reach anymore
He stood before me, a fighting stance already taken

One of his hands bursted into beautiful blue flames. They looked like his eyes

They only seemed to get bigger and they radiated more heat as they got bigger
The smile on his face showed that he was proud of his powerful quirk, yet deep down I knew it hurt him

With one swift motion he lit the ground between us on fire. My eyes widen as I jump back a little to not burn myself
I smile and clap, showing that I am impressed my his power

Though... He seems to not know how to turn down his flames
He waves his hand, trying to put it out. He did his best to make it seem intentional, but I knew it wasn't

"Calm down Tōya! Your flames won't calm down if you don't" I yelled at him as he tried his best, be he was far to nervous
"I-It hurts Y/n!" He yelled back, tears welling up in his eyes
Hell, this is bad!

I ran through the flames on the ground, hugging his form trying to calm him down
It burnt me too slightly, but I guess this is part of my duty now

The flames became smaller, and smaller and smaller untill they've fully gone out. The grass also has stopped burning for a reason unknown to me

Tōya's hands gripped the back of my top as he buried his face into me, sniffling
I tightened my hug "shh, 'tis alright now. You're alright"
He had a few red marks on his skin, but he was alive. They weren't going to turn into scars I assume, but they looked like they'd hurt while healing. He has to learn to keep it down and not go overboard

I ran my hand through his hair, trying to sooth him to the best of my efforts

After a short while he pulled away wiping his eyes
"My father... He never taught me how to turn down the heat, only up..."
Poor child, I've heard that the king is a little forceful and selfish, but not caring about his kids' safety? That's new to me

"I shall try teaching you from now on, although I don't understand how your power works" I pat his head
He looked up at me from the ground "promise?"
I nodded "promise"
I smiled at him "now, shall we go take care of the-"

"Y/n! Tōya!" I heard Fuyumi call out behind me
I turned around, seeing the girl walk hand in hand with Natsuo. They seemed a little confused once they got a closer look at us. The burnt ground, Tōya being embarrassed and us both a little burnt

"You need to wash those owies" Fuyumi pointed and a nodded
"We were just about to do that" I scratched the back of my neck nervously
"Why don't you two come with us"

Natsuo nodded eagerly "bath!!"
