Twin Alphas are hard work

Chapter 1: The Attack

There was screaming everywhere outside. I smell smoke and blood. My eyes snap open and I'm already out the window and running into the forest . Once I'm at a distance I take one last look at Blue Moon Pack. All I can see is fire and smoke. Tears stream my face. I bend down and touch the ground sending my prayer to them, my pack was a sacred place. The people laughed and sang once upon a time but I hear their screams and cries. I am sending them a little hope. I can at least stop the flames but not the attacks. I see the light of my power gliding across the ground to the village and stop the fire after the I continue to run.

I come across another but this one is dead too. It has only just died. There are bodies every. Children, Women and men all dead. I walk into the pack house slowly. I walk into the alphas room and find the alpha and luna dead. I silently cry. I hear a little child cry and snap my head up and listen to where it's coming from. 'It's in the closet' my wolf's say. My names are Lucas and River. I slowly walk to the closet and open it. Inside sits a little boy. I crouch down in front of him "hi, I'm not going to hurt you. My name is Hayleigh. I'm here to help you. What's your name?" I whisper he slightly moves toward me and says "my name is Caleb, where are my parents?" He cries. I hug his small body "your parents are sleeping how old are you?" He looks up with teary eyes that break my heart "I'm 7 it was my birthday today". I pick him up and whisper "well happy birthday hun. But right now I need you to close your eyes tight." He as I tell him and I carry him out of the room and down the stairs to finds a man standing in the door way with his back to me. I quickly move to the shadows. He sniffs the air and turns around "I smell a rogue. Now who would be able to survive my alphas attack?" He whispers calmly. He walks in and I quickly slip out behind him and run out the door with Caleb in my arms. I run into the forest but I know he's following. I'm just about to jump over a fallen tree when I'm pulled back and thrown on the floor. "Ouch" I whisper. I then realise that Caleb isn't in my arms. I look around frantically to find him in the claws of the many. I quickly stand up and look at him. I shift ready to kill him but he chuckles. He then comands coldly "shift or I will kill him". I immediately shift but realise I ripped my clothes. I quickly try to cover up. He chuckles and puts Caleb down for a second ripping his shirt off and tossing it to me then grabbing Caleb again. I put it on and it reaches my mid thighs. I then whisper "put him down. We don't mean any harm we're not from that pack. Me and my little brother were just looking for some help" he then chuckles and says "it's not me you have to explain to it's the alphas you need to explain to". I then panick and say "please how bout you give us a 10 minute head start then chase us again" he then raises an eyebrow and replies "fine" he puts Caleb down and says "your time starts now". I grab Caleb and sprint. Once I am far away I tell caleb to climb onto my back. He does as he's told. I climb the tree up to the top wait there. I pull Caleb back into my lap and he falls asleep and not to long after I do the same.
