You and Pony have always been close but you never thought he'd ever look at you as anything other than 'one of the guys'. All of the other boys say that you guys flirt but you both denied and shrugged it off.

Your POV:
"Haley, get your skinny ass down here." I heard my brother, Dallas, yell from downstairs. "may I HELP you?!" I yelled popping my body from the frame of my bedroom door. "yes you can, get your ass ready." he chuckled, he really thinks he's somethin. "ready for..?" I trailed in questioning. "we are going to the Curtis', don't fuss your boyfriend will be there." he smirked at me. "excuse you but from my knowledge I don't have a boyfriend Winston." I scoffed, jokingly sticking my tounge out at him. "well ya don't know much anyway." he said in his usual smartass tone. I rolled my eyes, if it's not him it's Two-bit, always picking on me for my blonde hair. I rather like being a blonde, I also like being smarter than both of them combined. So I got ready and ran down the stairs with my combat boots clicking slightly. "so you really like Pony, huh?" Dally said to me, out of no where, as we walked along the cracked sidewalk. "what do ya mean? he's cool, fun to hang with I guess." I shrugged, playing it off. I don't like Pony, like I don't. right? I don't even know what I feel anymore. "No no you know what I mean Halo." he said, Halo has always been his nickname for me. Me being a greaser and all I find it ironic, since I'm not very angelic. "like dig him? like 'dig dig' him?" I asked wide eyed. "no dip sherlock." he said pushin my shoulder. "I don't know I guess I kinda like.." I went to say "kinda like who?" I heard a voice from behind me. I look up and find that me and Dal have already made our way to the house. I look back and see, yep you guessed it, Ponyboy just chilling on the steps. "oh nothin Ponytail, too much for your heart to *cough cough* I mean your head to handle." Dally said ruffling his hair and winking at me. I rolled my eyes. "I'm goin inside I'll talk to yall two buzzkills later." he said waking into the house. "So Pony whatcha been up to?" I asked, setting on the porch sideways throwing my legs across him. "oh nothin really, how about you Lucy?" he asked with a cheesy grin. I have no idea where he got that name from but he called me it once and I guess it kinda stuck. "eh this and that, thinking about how we're going to kick ass at the rumble this Friday night." I smirked, shoving my hands into my jean jacket pocket looking up at the sky. "you really shouldn't fight in that.." he said, kinda quietly. I just gave him my famous 'really?' looks by raising my left brow. "but I know you're going to anyway." he sighed standing up, causing my legs to drop. "pardon you." I said sassily. "oh so sorry Madame, shall I shine your show before you use my head as a resting post?" he said in a fake British accent. it was rather cute. "no thanks, I'll pass sir." I said, saluting for no reason, just because i thought it fit the moment. "wanna take a walk?" he asked. "heck yea, where to?" I asked standing up and brushing off a bit. "I don't know maybe the park?" he asked "yeah sure lets go." I said as he lead the way out of the gate and onto the street. "so, I need your advice." he said as we made our way through the crisp air of the spring night. "okay, shoot me a line." I laughed "well, so. well you're a girl. right?" he asked. I dramatically gasped "no way! how did you find out?! I thought I was always so manly. dammit my cover is blown!" I kicked my feet like a 4 year old. "know you know what I meant." he laughed a little at the end. "yeah yeah, what did you want?" I asked crossing my arms and setting on the edge of the big fountain in the park. "well I've liked this girl for a long time, and-" I cut him off "Pony don't tell me you're still 'into' that pig faced snogging bitch Cherry." I rolled my eyes, actually feeling a little jealous. not of her, I couldn't stand her before he liked her. that's all he used to talk about, it pissed me off so bad. "no, I never liked her." he said looking away. "bullshit!" I laughed "you talked about her 24/7 you little lier." I said pushing his shoulder slightly. "only to make you jealous." he laughed a tad. my face went blank. "what?" he said staring at me with wide eyes. "did I just say that outloud?" he asked shocked. I shook my head. "well, secrets out. so might as well just go for it." he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "just go for wha-" I went to say before Pony just grabbed me and kissed me. "woah." I said when he pulled back. "probably not the best way of doing that." he giggled. "will you be my girl Haley Dawn?" he smiled. "how could I not?" I giggled. I got up as if I was going to walk away and turned and pushed him back into the fountain. he came up in a gasp for air. "that's what you get for not asking me sooner." I smirked. "fair enough." he rolled his eyes "now help me oughta here would ya?" he asked holding out his hand. as soon as I grabbed it I felt a cold rush. I realized that Pony just pulled me into the pool. "that's for using my lag as a leg prop." he smirked. we got out and walked to the Curtis' holding hands, not like they would be surprised. I think they saw this comin.
