You would think a life for a senior in high school would be so much fun but, in the end things become strange and people begin to change. The people you once knew are soon to part their ways and grow apart as the ones we once knew turn their backs away. If I had known things were about to change, maybe I would've enjoyed the moments I had...

"Azahlia!"
"Time for school! Let's go your sisters already waiting to drive you!"
My mother shouted.

"I'm coming!" I shouted quickly throwing on my shoes.

I quickly dashed out the door and straight to the front. I got right into the passenger seat as my sister began driving at the speed of light.

"Hey, I won't be able to pick you up later because of work so you'll have to walk home today okay?"

My sister said as I nodded. I proceeded to put my earphones on. We soon pulled up at the school as I took one earbud out from my ear.

"The weather looks like it's gonna rain today. Take the umbrella I left in the back before you head inside."

"Okay" I said grabbing my backpack and umbrella.

"Hey! I love you!" My sister proceeded to embarrass me.

"Ewww stop!" I faked a barf as she laughed waving.

She drove off as I laughed while putting my earphones back into my ears. Music played in my ears as I walked by the different groups of people around me. We had those who were into sports aka the jocks and athletes, those who had different interests in clothings and genres the emo group, and those who were born with looks who made it to the popular group.

The bell rang for first period to start. I made my way up the stairs to my history class. I put my earphones away and saw my friends grouped up together.

"Azahlia!! We saved you a seat!" My friend Carly said along with my other friend Mary.

"Did you guys watch the news yesterday??" Carly said as I looked in confusion.

"No what happened?" I said as everyone around us began gossiping about the same topic.

"Supposedly, a meteor fell and hit somewhere within Bakersfield and Los Angeles" Carly said as the same gossip moved through the room.

A girl named Ivy from the emo group walked in with her friend. Just then Henry and the group of popular girls also walked in behind her with Starbucks in their hands. Ivy rolled her eyes as one of Henry's friend Shelby bumped into her.

"Watch it" Henry's friend laughed as she walked off.

Ivy rose her book in a motion about to hit Shelby but she was stopped by her friend. They all sat down as the jocks entered. They were louder than usual today. The Timothy and his group of friends all stared at me as I looked behind me and my friends.

"Their all looking at you but why?" Carly asked.

Just then Timothy pushed his friend Josh forward towards my desk as my eyes widened. He placed a rose on my desk as I smiled awkwardly. The whole class stared in silence as a poster appeared from behind him.

"Will you go to formal with me?" He asked as I tried to calm down.

Everyone waited for my answer as I looked around awkwardly. Just then Shelby walked over.

"You'd rather go to formal with this girl instead of me? I thought my competition would've been better than this..." She scoffed taking the rose off from my desk.

"That's not for you" Josh snatched it back.

Mr. Hopkins walked in.
