Chapter 46

BLANCA POV

Aiby placed her hand on top of my head and patted it. "Comprehension is the key, Blanca." Nginitian niya ako to assure me.

Geez! This girl, pinapakilig na naman ako. "'Why kasi hindi ka lalake?" I pouted.

Tumawa siya ng marahan at napailing na lang sa sinabi ko. Our conversation about Ayer ended kaya nagdrive na uli ako. It's like the needles that keep pricking my heart are gone. Damn that jerk!

Mapakilig o selos sumasakit puso ko sa kanya.

Tanaw ko na ang gate ng mala palasyong bahay ni Aiby. We talked a lot, as in a lot. Maybe, it's a catch up sa lahat na namiss naming time para sa isa't isa. I talked to Ayer almost every night and I don't want to bother Aiby from studying. I'm happy that she found a person that helps her to strive harder.

"Hey Blanca, ingat ka sa pagmamaneho 'wag lutang ah." Bilin niya sakin at bumaba na sa kotse ko.

I chuckled. "Ayay, mommy Aiby." I saluted and she closed the door.

Inintay ko munang makapasok si Aiby sa bahay nila bago ako umalis. Aiby is our ideal partner. That is why the girls respect her. Not because she's rich, well because we are all rich.

Aiby is someone we can lean on. There's even a moment in my life that I was too obsessed to waste my every damn money. My friends cheered for me that I am their rich friend that covers all their expenses but damn Aiby knocked me back to my senses.

I heard a lot of sermons from her and that's when I thought that I'll grow if I'm with her. That's when I decided to tail her all the time. Damn, I miss elementary days.

Bago ako lumiko sa kanto, tumingin muna ako sa mga mirrors. I looked at the mirror and saw myself smiling. When did I smile?

Pumasok na ako sa bahay and our maids welcomed me. "Nakauwi na sila mom?" I asked the maid that was assigned for me.

"Hindi daw po sila uuwi, Ma'am Blanca." She answered and slightly bowed her head.

Bumuntong hininga na lang ako. Why do you keep expecting Blanca? Of course they're busy, bakit sila uuwi diba? Sanay ka naman ng mag isa, diba?

But.. if I just didn't ditched my marriage partner. This won't happen right?

I went to my bathroom and removed all my uniform. I dipped my leg if the water in the bathtub is hot. The temperature is alright, kaya nilubog ko na ang buong katawan ko sa tubig.

I closed my eyes and I tried to remember what happened that day. Just the name of Ayer at ayan na naman ang puso ko hindi makalma. Geez, did I just admit the effect Ayer has on me?

Nagbihis na ko sa pajama at nagbloblower ako to dry my hair fast 'cause damn I'm sleepy. Paglabas ko ng bathroom, naririnig kong nag riring ang phone ko.

I picked it up and saw Ayer's name. Accept.

It's a voice call. "Hey, wanna talk?" Unang bungad niya sa'kin. He always calls me every night even if it's for 5 minutes.

Tinignan ko ang kama kong hinihintay ako. "Uhm, okay?"

I can hear that he laughed. "Hahaha, tumingin ka na naman sa kama mo no? Gusto mo na ba matulog?"

"Nahh, it's okay."

"Sure?" He asked once again.

"Yeah."

He didn't say a word. Nag vibrate ang phone ko kaya inalis ko sa tenga ang phone ko para tignan ito.

Video call.... I accepted it.
