As I walk- wait what was her name?
"Hey, uh, what's your name?"
"Casey."
"Oh okay."
As I walk Casey to her first class I notice her hands fidgeting, a lot. Like, excesive fidgeting. I also start to notice how her ember eyes flicker around the halls with what appears to be no purpose.
"What's wrong?" I ask. She looks at me then her eyes start flickering again.
"What?"
"Your eyes are flickering around the halls and it's not like there's a lot to see. And your hands are fidgeting ecxesively. What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm perfectly fine." She's avoiding my gaze. Probably because her eyes won't stop moving long enough to look me in the eye.
"Liar."
"Whatever." She huffs. I smile as we arrive at her class.

When I finally get out of whatever class I was just in, I head to the cafeteria to meet Casey for lunch. I spot her and another girl talking comparing something on their phones.
"Oh hey, Aaron!" she waves me over. I walk over to her and mystery girl. "Get your phone out." she demands.
"Yes, dad." I say. I pull my phone out of my pocket and hold it waiting for the next instruction.
"Dad?" she questions. Then says "Oh Aaron, this is Angie. Angie this is Aaron." She steals my phone and starts typing away.
"How rude." Angie says jockingly. I notice how Casey has almost stopped fidgeting.
"So yeah." Casey hands me my phone. "Text me whenever you want. Angie Skype me later. And I gotta go." she rushes out before running off. Angie shrugs and we make small talk untill Casey gets back.

"And I'm back." Casey says as she sits next to me on the bench. "What I miss?"
"Only that Angie like your shorts and tights thing you got goin' on." I say. It's true. I like it too, but I couldn't say it outloud.
"Aw. Thanks Ang."
"You're very welcome." Angie says. Then adds, "You know, Angie's already a nickname."
"Yeah one that's way to long."
"Shut the hell up. My name's beautiful, unlike you."
"I don't need to be beautiful. I'm already smokin' hot."
"That's because it's, like, 100 degrees fahrenheit."
"At least I can make friends."
"Barely."
I listen to their useless banter untill the bell rings signaling that class starts soon.
"Let's just skip this one. IT's not gonna teach us anything useful." Angie suggests.
"Why not? Just let me stop by locker to grab my things."
"Okay. But we have to be back by fifth block."
"Yes mom." Casey imitates me from when I called her dad.
"I'm the baby then!"
"Nope. The annoying reckless teen." I say.
"Even better."
