Disloyalty

"Sasha! Oh Sasha!" Connie called as you guys approached the camp. "You're acting like you killed the elk." You glared at Connie and he just laughed. "Oh shut up I did all the work with skinning the deer." Connie shook his head and sped up towards where the horses were hitched.

"Sasha!" Connie called out again, but Jean sent him a glare. You had only been at the camp for a day or two, but something was off as you entered the camp. Erwin was finally out of his tent, Levi and Hange sitting with him by the fire. Everyone was walking anxiously around the campfire. You, Jean and Connie quietly hitched your horses and you grabbed the elk pelt, walking towards the group.

"Took you guys long enough." Levi said with an attitude as you all laid the pelts at Sasha's station. "What the fuck is going on?" Jean asked as you all joined the gang. "Now that everyone is here, we can finally discuss it." Erwin stood in front of the group as everyone gathered around.

You scanned everyone's faces and you could tell something had happened while you were gone. "The Warriors were spotted nearby here. They got far too close to camp." Erwin crossed his arms over his chest. "But we're so close to Paradis, they never come out this way." Eren said, his chin in his hands as he sat between Armin and Mikasa.

"They must've trailed Jean and Connie back here." Eren turned his head to glare back at Jean. "Shut up Jaeger. Don't try to put that on us." Jean rolled his eyes and looked over to Levi and Erwin. "Anything could have happened for them to come over here." Jean looked over at you, giving you a nod.

"For all we know, Y/N could be with the Warriors and just be a spy." Eren turned his gaze to you. "Huh? You think I'd be with them?! They ambushed me, and why would I be stealing from a Marley bank?" You immediately shot back at Eren and he stood up from the tree stump.

"It may just all be an elaborate plan." He stepped towards you, towering over you. "Step back, Eren." Jean gritted through his teeth as he placed his hand on Eren's chest. "Guys, this isn't helping." Armin piped up and Eren backed off. "Whatever." Eren rolled his eyes and left the group to go off to his tent.

"I'm sorry Y/N, Eren just has history with Marley, so he gets really defensive." Armin walked over to you as Mikasa left to join Eren. "It's fine. Just know that I have nothing to do with Marley or the Warriors. My loyalty is to you guys." You shook your head and walked off towards yours and Jean's tent.

You began to open the entrance to the tent, but a hand grabbed your shoulder and pulled you back. "Levi-" "If you're so loyal, you're going to join the others in raiding the Warriors' camp." Levi patted your shoulder rather aggressively and left.

"Great." You muttered under your breath and entered the tent. You removed your vest and threw it down, now only in a light button down and your jeans. "Don't think too much of anything. They did the same thing when Reiner joined camp." Jean came into the tent and sat down next to you.

"I don't blame you." You looked over to him and he was just staring ahead of him. "I'll be the one leading the raid, Eren and Miksa are both coming." Jean pushed his hand back through his hair and adjusted his hat.

"How are your wounds?" He asked as he looked at your head. "Oh they're getting better. That knife wound is about to be a nasty scar though." You smiled as you felt the bump on your head from getting clocked with the rifle. "May I?" Jean asked as he pointed to your abdomen.

You nodded and he gently lifted up your shirt, revealing the dark slash that was beginning to scab over. Jean ran his fingers over the mark and you flinched. "I'm sorry." He quickly put your shirt down and his cheeks began to turn red. "No, you're fine. It just tickled." You giggled and watched as his face returned to normal color.

"I swear they were about to harvest your organs or something. I wouldn't put it past them." Jean shook his head and looked towards the picture of Marco and him. "Also if Eren says any other shit to you on this raid, just let me know, ok?" Jean stood up from the sheets and reached out his hand to help you up.

"Why are you being so nice to me and not suspicious?" You asked as you reached down to grab your vest and coat. "Because I was the one who saved you. There was no way for them to know we were going to be around Marley." Jean gave you a small smile when exiting the tent with you.

"Y/N!" Armin came running towards you with a large smile on his face. He came to a stop in front of you. "You guys will be going at night so it'll be cold. I know you came here without anything, so here's a pair of gloves. They're an old pair of mine." He excitedly handed you the leather gloves with wool on the inside. "Thank you." You took them and slipped them onto your hands.

"Just stay out there, okay?" Armin walked back towards Erwin and Hange who were standing by the large tent. "Armin seems to be taking a liking to you." Jean said with a rude tone. "Huh? I think he's just a nice person, that's all." You patted Jean's shoulder and walked towards the horses.
