Kenpachi was a simple man that came from humble beginning. Although he was born blind, it was not a curse but a blessing as his other sense were improved, his sense of smell and hearing were phenomal. He had a rough childhood, even though he came from a loving family, they live in a fisherman village, poor but they had strong bounds. Even if they were poor, it didn't stop a band of bandit group from imposing their leadership, they would take a cut of what the village brought and in exchange wouldn't attack. It was sad but they were no warriors in the village. There wasn't much to do against a bigger and armed force, it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't stink of booze most of the time. It was a harsh truth for Kenpashi , hell it would be hard for any kid. It didn't bother the villager though; they were poor but spirit was high most of them were smiling and acted in a kind fashion. His luck continued with his father , not only was he a skilled fisherman , he was extremely clever , he had been hand selected by the leader of the group of bandit to be the one to cut up his fish , his father had found numerous way to give him less without it being obvious bringing more food at home and at next to no risk , the bandit chief was all muscle , Kenpachi mother had explain to him , that muscle weren't all sometime the perception of thing was more important , perception was an odd concept for kenpachi since he was blind , but he understood his meaning and that was his vision , she had also explain that although the bandit were a nuisance they were also the one who made the entire village help each other out and that was the blessing . If Kenpachi respect his father for the man he was and what he did for the village, he loved his mom, she was the one people looked too when they needed advice, she was strict but just and always took the time to listen to other. Kenpachi had been born blind, but blood his blind, he didn't have any sibling but there were two other kids in the village. There was Shane and Lory, they were all of a similar age which was a stroke of luck, they had form strong bond and together would craft small bracelet and necklace made of seashells. They would then bring those to a nearby town in hope to trade them for a bowl of rice or maybe a loaf of bread, if they brought those to the village t would make life easy or a bit easier at least they were even day when what they brought earn them a thanks or some praise. The three of them form a fearful trio, Shane was a wonderful salesman and an even better liar which help when day after day they were trying to sell, Lory had learned the road by heart looking for flower and wild berries, she was also funny and always succeed in making the three of them laugh. Kenpachi him, had a strong back and always was ready to prove he could do his part, that and his tenacity were what he had to bring to the table. The three of them had left early that day has the day before there was rain, they manage to get a lot done and were optimistic about what they had, not only was it a good load but they had a whole day for preparing their merchandise as they liked to call it. They finally arrive at the town, although he had never seen it but his friend always talked about it with so much enthusiast it made him happy to be there. the smells, the animal barking, the busy street and the people living in it, it was so lively so noisy, so intense., almost scary. Even though they were poor they would often fantasize about buying thing or living there. Imagination was a wonderful thing and his was their worlds no bandits, no violence alas real life was completely different. However, on this particular day, thing was Livier the were more noise, music, which by his friend description came from drum like instrument. A man came to them offering them some sweet, kenpachi remember that voice it was one of the people they did business with, Lori squealed of happiness sweet were a luxury that they didn't often have. Shane was a bit more hesitant and spoke

- Tell me elder, he started town seem to be celebrating or at least something is going on, it's a birthday a wedding maybe.

The man looks at them shocked and then started to laugh, before saying

1. What a tongue you have, but yes youngin you are right, our lord is getting married, we are handing out some of his new wife favorite sweet, to help her feel welcome. We also wanted to share our wealth has the yield been so generous over and over again, it's all about coming together. Lucky you guy show up, there will be a lot of lords, might make a lot today. What is certain is you youngster are not leaving here hungry, your belly just might burst as a matter of fact.

The three kids from fisherman town looked at each other with glee, it was the first time they were celebrating something at all, they didn't have anywhere to go and had all the time to enjoy themselves and make sure to fully experienced it. They started to dance and had countless laugh; it was such a good time. There was even a show, two warriors fighting with wooden katana, it was clearly a play but still. Shane describes the two warriors to be highly decorated with medal and colorful armor. He couldn't see the fight, but he could hear the blow, the way the sword dance, the warrior was surely dancing too. The blows were almost making a song, was that their level of swordsmanship , something odd happen he could almost see the fight, by hearing the blows and the small grunt of the warrior, he was experiencing the fight as much as his friend. Shane told him about one of the two fighter , he was wearing a demon mask, Kenpachi chuckled demon weren't real, he remembers his parent mentioning a theatre where people would be making a play to entertain people maybe that was the play in question, he surprises himself feeling happy, when the pretend good warrior won over the mask one, the whole crowd were cheering it was such a vibrant moment. The trio felt so grateful and had enjoyed themselves , they decide to give away what they had brought , it was the right thing to do, it was a party Afterall . There belly was full and they had laugh today would still be a good day if they didn't trade. They handed their creation to thankful people and various lord, it was nice to give, Kenpachi felt proud to be the one to bring something. But alas it sadly came to an end, they had managed to bring back some food and were heading back to the village, they knew the bandit group were supposed to come that same night. The kid never dealt with them but didn't take away from the cloud they would bring with them, they arrive a short while later, they arrive to screaming. Kenpachi ask and ask his friend for a description of the event but they were both froze; it was only when he had finally begged Lory that she had explained. The bandit chief was holing hi father by the shirt and was pointing a sword to him. Following Lory, they slowly got closer to the scene and Kenpachi was finally able to hear what was going on. Shane whispered that only Kenpachi father had noticed them and that they were in a safe place. He heard the bandit chief slurring his word but manage to understand what he was saying

1. You are done taken for a fool, I have let you steal from me, because I'm reasonable, I haven't attack your village because of it, I like to call it honor among thieve, I even respected your guts and bravado. You have stolen time and time again but I know their kid in the village and well need people as we are pursuing by the feudal lord, we need young warrior who will do what they told, if you bring me the kid ill forget your debt.

The next events didn't need any explanation, they were as clear as possible, horrible but clear. He heard the voice of his mom scream an insult, then a slap on skin, right after another body came rushing to where the bandit chief was. Then large thumps almost like a body falling on the floor. He felt Shane familiar hand grabbing in, he tried to free himself from his friend was the body that felt on the ground was his mom. Alas no matter how strong he was his two friends were stronger. the three of them began running away, the pace was fast probably the adrenaline kicking in, there was now a possibility, they were running from the bandit that much was clear, but another possibility was that a bandit had seen them, Kenpachi was now the one to drag his friend following Lory directive. They finally arrive at a cave he knew the place it was their hideout, he heard the wind outside, Shane voice echoing, but it was all so blurry, all he could heard was the sound back in the village it was on a loop and was the only thing he could think about. He had to ask he tried asking Shane first, he would be the one to understand his pain, but no answer to his surprise, it was Lory who answered – Kenpachi listen I'm sorry, I ... Well, your parents are dead, when we arrive the bandit chief was holding your father and pointing a sword, I think he was drunk cause he accidently cut your father, your mother screamed an insult, he didn't like that and well he hit her. Your father lunge at him and was pierced your mother was next, when we started to run the whole village was fighting, we lost the battle they were armed and well, I don't think we can go back anymore. The three-survivor got quiet, saying out loud was a different thing then thinking it low.

-So, anybody has an idea on what to do next. ask Kenpachi

It was Shane that answered the usually charismatic youth seemed a lot more serious

-We can probably go to the town, with a bit of luck there still a lot of food from the celebrations, people are kind too we can be beggar for a little while should buy us a couple of weeks,

The three of them agreed and went to sleep, it was fair to say that they had trouble sleeping but eventually Shane and Lory fell asleep, Kenpachi was ever so grateful for the wind blowing outside its was helping mask the sound of his sob.
