(Chapter 8) - Close Call

Boulders were crashing down on citizens, and everything had just become total chaos.

Children were screaming, mothers were crying; it was a true nightmare for the crowds of people trying to flee.

Eren charged at Marleyan military officers, killing... all of them.

Crowds were running away, and Erik was punching every stand he could see.

You were looking out at the Fran where Eren jumped out, and to your left was a badly hurt Reiner and Falco.

Falco blinked at you and grunted.

Falco... I'm sorry... I'll do what I can. I never wanted this to happen, so please, I'm sorry. Tell your brother I said thank you. "

You grabbed a knife and chucked your way out the window. You cut yourself, and light flooded your body. More people look up in fright.

"It's the Attack and Patterned Titan!" A man yelled.

You saw Colt running away with Gabi, carrying a little boy. He looked up to see what was happening, and he saw you.

A large bolt of lightning struck the ground in the distance, causing the Warhammer Titan to emerge.



Was that Titan going to go one-on-one with Eren? This is my chance to make sure Colt will be okay!

Before the Warhammer Titan oils fully generated, Eren rushed to it and started beating it.

You started running towards the scene, making sure to not step on anyone, but noticed everyone had already evacuated.

You ran until you stopped at Eren's, and tried to pull him off of the Titan. But before you could do anything, you and Eren were both impaled with a large stone that the Warhammer Titan had produced.

Ah shit, I was trying to help you.

You started screaming, and your Titan was roaring. From a bunch of buildings, Colt looked up at you again, and continued running away with the child and Gabi.

The scouts were finally here as well. This night was going to be long, you could feel it.

The Warhammer Titan finally got up, and soon you understood why it was called Warhammer. It grew a big hammer out of its hand and swung it at Eren, but it missed, making Eren fly off, and hit you, making you roll on the ground.

The Warhammer made spikes grow out of the ground, which impaled your feet, and unexpectedly, some of the military that was hiding up started shooting you two, making toy cover nape.

Some of the bullets made you almost lose your balance, but you were alright. The same went for Eren too.

The Warhammer gave another swing of its hammer at Eren, cutting his Titan's head off. But

before the Warhammer could deliver a second blow, you launched yourself away from the battle. and got to the side.

"Now or never... Mikasa."

Mikasa came from out of the sky and started winning the fight for you and Eren.

All the other Scots showed up behind the military men and took some of them out with a single blow.

Mikasa landed on Eren and whispered something to him, something you couldn't understand.

You peaked your head out of your Titan's nape, letting you take a deep breath.

"Eren! There must be more Titans on the way!Be ready! " You yelled at Eren, grabbing his attention.

Almost all of the hidden military around you have been shot down by your fellow scouts.

Finally, the Warhammer Titan got up after Mikasa's fatal blow. Once the Titan got on its knees, it summoned a crossbow and threw an arrow at Eren's Titan, which made Mikasa grab Eren's human body and fly away.

You popped your head back into your Titan, and ran away from the action.

and made your way to where Mikasa and Eren were.

Get out of your Titan and retreat. There should be a blimp arriving, "yelled Mikasa.

She hopped on your nape and cut it, letting you climb out.

Mikasa brought you up and landed you on the ground, then went back to Eren.

You started running away, with any energy you had left, steaming from all sides of you.

You saw a blimp a little away, and you grabbed a handgun that was there in the rubble of the stage after Eren stumbled over after killing Willy.

You ran as fast as you could, and when you saw some sort of light, you ran to it, meaning you were entering a building where you could be safe till the blimp arrived.


You ran down a stairwell and suddenly saw a Marley military uniform on a tall man.

You ran back up the stairs as quickly as you could.

Wait Ma'am! Where are you going? Are you hurt? " The man yelled.

He ran up behind you, but you were quicker.

"Hey, wait! Ma'am! There's a cover here! Let me help you! "

You ended up making a wrong turn and hitting a wall.

Shit! My stomach...

He finally caught up and laid his hands on his knees to catch his breath.

"Ma'am, your fast God..." He looked up. The man was Colt.

(Y/N)... "

"Colt... don't follow me, I don't want you to get hurt."

He widened his eyes and breathed heavily.

Why would you do this? Why would you lie to me rather than help Eren? Where's my brother? "

"Colt, your brother should be fine. Reiner must've brought him to safety. They should be heading down the street right now. "

"Thank you for the information, but answer my question: what was this all for?"

"I had no other choice, and I made sure I didn't kill anyone..."

"You helped Yeager! (Y/N) I thought I could put my trust in you.I gave my whole heart to you, and you just backstabbed me like I was a pile of shit. "

"Colt, I'm leaving." "

You walked past him, and he caught your arm.

" I adored you, (Y/N).I thought you felt the same. "

"Colt! Yes, I did.I do... I just can't. '

Why can't you?! Who's stopping you? "

"Eldia! I can't love a Marleyan! "

"I told you that didn't have to matter!"

"Colt" I'm your enemy. We are enemies! I'm part of the scouts, and you are training to be a warrior. We can't be together, god damnit! Why can't you just understand that? "

You weren't saying that when you were making love to me! I knew I wanted it! You pulled me on you! "

"Colt"I love you, and that night, I actually felt happy for once."

Then, why can't you love me? Just stay in Marley with me! You didn't do anything, you didn't kill anyone here, just dun away with me! "

I have a duty! You have one as well. You'll find someone better than me, someone who you can love. "

"I risked everything that night. Do you understand that? "

"Of course I understand that, Colt. I risked mine too. "

"But it was with it, it was worth every second."

"I'm glad you feel that way..."

"Don't you?"

Colt, I have to go... "

You walked past him, and he let you go.

"(Y/N), I hope you can see why I've done this some day.. and if anything happens, I hope you remember this. "

You turned around from walking back up, and ran back down to him, and you kissed him.

At first, he seems startled, but then he wraps his fingers around your cheeks.

You felt the same way you did on the night you were all his, and he was all yours.

You pulled away and shed a tear, "Colt, please stay alive."

(Y/N) "He was speechless," I want to see you again.

You started running back, and you gave out a smile, with tears falling down your face.

Colt just stood in the corner where you and Juliet said your final words, and you heard him mumble, "Good bye, my Juliet."

You mumbled, "alright, Romeo,"

The blimp had finally arrived."

(Y/N)! Heads up! " You looked up, and it was your comrade, holding a rope out to get on the blimp.

Colt finally ran up to the roof, and saw you getting carried away, far away into the sky.

I'll find you again! My love... "he said, shaking his head and smiling at you.

You are now so high up that Colt looks like an ant.

All your comrades cheered, "The battle is over," and "we won!"

You sat down in a corner and saw Zeke.

Levi, your captain, came out of the cockpit.

"Ackerman, you shall be under arrest for helping Eren commit a war crime."

You nodded, and handcuffs were placed over your arms.

You looked out the window, and saw Colt running with Falco and Gabi, and Gabi caught hold of one of the loose ropes hanging from the blimp.

This battle... it's not over yet.
