on the town

"eggs, milk, flour, yeast, pesto & parmigiana" Antoni repeatedly says in his head while biking to the local grocery store. He is in a bit of a rush considering he is trying to get back to his moms house. It was a Friday afternoon which meant he was cooking dinner for his mom, he had been doing this since he was 14, it's basically his way of thanking her for raising him. Antoni hops off his bike and leaves it on the ground rushing inside to find the ingredients. He was walking past every end cap of isle searching for pesto. He finally found the last ingredient on the list in the canned soup isle, he starts heading down the isle as he recognizes a silver head of hair he looks down into his basket. In the gray haired man's basket was tomato's, heavy cream, basil and milk. Antoni remembered how in 2015 him and his friend would make a tomato basil soup using those 4 ingredients. he stands at the end of the isle puzzled. In his head Antoni is saying "There's no way tan could be here, he moved to the city in 2017 what could he possibly be doing here? is he here for... me? No.. no don't be silly he's probably just here to visits our old high school. sigh* this makes no sense..." As tan turns his head to see who had been standing there Antoni sprinted to the front. "i don't need pesto we'll just have pasta with parmigiana,,,who am i kidding i need the pesto!" He checks to see if tans still there he wasn't. Antoni let out a sigh of relief and grabbed the jar of pesto. He went immediately to check out, he didn't wanna be seen by tan. Just not now at least.. As he was standing in check out tan walked by and glanced at Antoni. Antoni grabbed a baguette and acted as if he were smelling it to cover his face. Tan said "Antoni? Antoni is that you?" Antoni lowered the baguette revealing it was him. He then flashed an awkward grin and said "Oh wow, what uh what are you doing here? I thought you had moved to the city." Tan replied "Oh i'm just visiting my boyfriend and making him soup!" Antoni nodded his head smiling but inside he was crushed. He thought he was over tan but seeing him again just brought it all back up. Tan was thinking "Whyd i say i was making soup for my boyfriend?!?! I haven't seen anyone since i left for nyc in 2017. God I want him so bad, shouldve just said" I wanted to see you!" but no. you had to make something up."
