"I have to say he is looking well, a lot more happier and relaxed from the last time I set eyes on him," Teresa remarked as she sat with Alison in her living room watching the video of Paul's appearance in a british afternoon chat show which his mother had sent.

It had arrived that morning, and Alison had asked Teresa if she wanted to watch it along with her when they closed the bakery up for the night, Teresa had only too happily agreed

Alison had not really wanted to be on her own, a little worried that she would become mopy and tearful, because it also would be just another reminder that she Paul and were still apart.

With Teresa there she could keep her emotions in check

Alison found herself admitting that Teresa was right, he was looking well

But then the interview was filmed shortly after he had informed her over the phone that the whole truth came out about Holly's baby and who the actual father was. And he was no longer under the burden of justifying his divorce from Holly.

Alison found herself watching and listening to the interview with keen interest

The male interviewer was asking Paul about his forthcoming television series and what it had to offer the regular viewers and fans of the show this time around.

When Paul gave some hints for what was in store, the interviewer reminded every one that this would be the final series

"So what has made you decide this will be your last series, especially when it is still a big ratings hit? why have you decided to hang up your chef's hat? so to speak" He queried with genuine curiosity

Paul looked thoughtful, and shifted in his seat, "Well there are several reasons I have decided that I did not want to do television anymore" he replied "I don't want to see ungrateful, because televion helped give me my big break. But I guess now I am getting a bit older, and hopefully a little wiser also"

He stopped and laughed a little nervously at this remark, reading his body language, which she knew so well now, Alison knew he was feeling a little uneasy as he broached this subject, and she could understand why. She found herself almost holding her breath as he continued.

"I was just going through a bit of a bad patch, as I am sure everyone must know by now"

he glanced around the small studio audience furtively, to gauge their reaction, they smiled understandingly, whilst the interviewer sitting opposite him, nodded.

"Anyway it made me revalulate a lot of things going on in my life and I decided somethings, including my self and my lifestlye had to change. And I guess I decided I wanted to channel my career with less camera's around.. Believe me I have suddenly had more than enough of those"

He finished with another small laugh

"Understandable I suppose after recent circumstances" the intervier agreed with a certain amount of sympathy "So does this mean we won't be seeing you in front of the camera's anymore? and what are your plans for your new future?"

Paul smiled, "Well, I plan to continue in the resturant business, as I said, with out the cameras following me around, and concentrating on my real career without the celebrity tag hanging on it anymore" he then explained

"So you are not retiring from the resturaunt business just the celebrity one?"

The interviewer summed it up more neatly for him

"Yeah, that's it exactly"

Paul nodded in agreement

"So is this you finally settling down from your crazy ways, opting for the quiet life, do you think it will last? After all, up until recently you seem to quite enjoy the limelight of the camera 's and being in the public eye, some might say you embraced it" The interviewer pointed out.
