Erica POV:

I was a mess. After about a week after my last mission, I was skipping everything. Classes, meals, even another mission. (Of course, I still ate food)

I was in no mood to check my phone, but maybe there was some good news, maybe Ben was still alive. I checked. Nope. Nothing. Just a few hundred missed texts from Zoe. I wanted to take my mind off Ben, so I read a few of them.

Zoe: Are you ok Erica?

Zoe: Erica, I'm just trying to help.

Zoe: What would Ben say?

After looking at that message, I set my phone down. Tears started piling up in my eyes, and I curled into the covers on my bed, crying. What would you say, Ben? Why did you say it?

Flashback; 8 days ago.

"Agent Ripley, Hale," an agent's voice came through the mouthpiece, "Is the bomb secured?"

"Negative," Ben's said, his face full of fear.

"We'll defuse it," I lied, then cut the communication.

I looked at Ben. He looked back at me. With our eyes, we seemed to come to the conclusion that this bomb couldn't be defused in time, that one of us would have to die. I lunged at the bomb, but Ben pushed me back. I grabbed onto his arm and judo flipped him, but as I was running towards the bomb, he grabbed my leg. I looked at the clock. 0:43. I was about to shake Ben off me, but he electrocuted me, and I was stunned. I looked at him run over to the bomb. 0:15. Ben looked at me with those eyes that I fell in love with, and wrapped himself around the bomb. 0:8

"I love you Erica," Ben said, "but-"
