1 - The Mission

"Today the two of you will be going on a mission to Sunagakure and deliver this scroll to Lord Kazekage," stated Kakashi sensei. It was currently a bright, sunny morning here at the village gates, where Sasuke and I were called for a mission.

"Won't Sakura be coming along?" I asked hopefully. Ever since my academy days, I've been hopelessly in love with her. Or at least that's what I let people think. The thing is, I'm very much gay. At one point, I did crush on Sakura, but the second I laid my eyes on the raven, that changed. I made sure though that all of my classmates though I was head-over-heels for Sakura, but when in reality, I only wanted the Uchiha. I mean, of course he would never love me back, but I can't help but want him more.

"No she wont be," replied sensei. I pouted. "This mission only requires two people, and Sakura is busy with Lady Tsunade in the hospital anyway. So let's get on with the mission breakdown. You are both to go to the Village Hidden in the Sand and deliver this vital piece of information to Lord Gaara. On your way, there is a small cabin we have discovered that you two could use during a break. Now both of you go, this is urgent."

With a thumbs up from me and a typical "Hn," from Sasuke, we headed off.

It had been a couple of hours since we left and I couldn't take my eyes off of Sasuke. Even as we jumped through trees and ran on the ground, my eyes were glued to him and his fat a- I probably shouldn't finish that sentence. However, all I could think about is how much I wanted him to myself. To be able to cover him with my marks signaling to anyone who looks at him that he belongs to me and me only. I was in fact so concentrated on the raven that I didn't notice a flimsy branch, ready to break, that I leapt right on.

I pummeled towards the ground screaming, and landed squarely on my back, the wind knocked right out of me .

"Oi, usuratonkachi, you okay?" Sasuke asked as he jumped down right in front of me. As much pain as I was in, I couldn't help but get lost in his onyx eyes.

"OI DOBE, snap out of it," the raven yelled, annoyed and clicking his fingers in my face. "Come on and get up. It's getting dark but I saw the cabin up ahead, we must be halfway now. If you don't grab my hand I'll drag you there."

"OKAY OKAY, geez teme..." I clasped my hand with his and let him pull me up. His grip was strong and even after I was up, I kept holding on for a split second. The butterflies were strong today.

We walked to the cabin which was only a couple hundred meters away. I limped a little from the fall but we made it before the sun set completely and we were doused in a velvety darkness. It wasn't much to look at. It was a one-story, wooden cabin, with a few windows dotted around on the walls. Inside there were two rooms. One which had a fireplace, a small kitchen and a table, and the other being a bedroom, and with only one bed. I felt like I was in some cliché romance story where the two lovebirds get together after having to sleep in the same bed... Sasuke and I looked at eachother but there wasn't much of a choice. We set down our gear, and Sasuke set some traps up outside just in case we were attacked.

"Hey Naruto, we need something to eat, did you bring anything?" asked the raven.

"I thought you were gonna bring something?" I replied. I had a feeling this wasn't going to go well.

"Usuratonkachi... we have no food and there isn't a lake or river for hours!!"

"Don't yell at me like you didn't forget either bastard!!"

"Whatever... we'll just have to make another break at the lake we're going to pass by later. As much as it will delay us, we need to keep our energy up."

"Fine," and with that, we decided to lay down. I offered to lie on the floor, but Sasuke insisted he was fine with us both in the same bed. After all, we're just friends. Right? It was like a dream come true however for me. I got to sleep in the same bed as my life-long crush, my luck was through the roof! I always kept my hopes high that Sasuke could like me back, but deep down I knew he was straight. The way all the girls fawn over him though, I hate to admit it, but it makes me jealous. He should belong to me. So as we lay in the bed, back to back, I fell asleep dreaming about our life together if he loved me too.

A/N:

Well that's the first chapter done, I will try to update again tomorrow, otherwise the next chapter should be done within 2 days.
