When I was in class one day, in the 8th grade, I had a grade, more than one subject I had that I was really failing on, it really made me upset that my dad has held from me my school work and school in general, and I had confronted it to him. He said, in his very on words, "Thats all on you....all on you..."
It kinda stuck in the back of my mind for a while....even my gf, Abbie, said the reason we had broken up before was because of me: "THIS IS ALL ON YOU! NOT ME! I AM COMPLETELY INNOCENT.....THIS IS ALL ON YOU!...." (dont ask why she said that....We DoN't PaY AtTeNtIoN To ThAt! The More You Know) Wow this is ironic.....pft, not......bc then in the FRICKEN 9th GRADE (oh boy, highschool am I right? Ill shut up now....) and I repeat these exact words that came out of like 3 boys mouths: "THIS IS LITERALLY ALL ON YOU......." I cried that night and then the idea of this song came to me.....the song was gonna be called: "All On Me". I had written it and sang it. I will explain each lyric:
