First of all, I already want to apologize for any grammatical errors or something. I'm solving my doubts of translation on google, so... yeah

And secondly, I never played League of Legends. I watched Arcane and became obsessed with the relationship between Silco and Jinx and decided to explore how the time jump developed.

Lastly, I'll try to get everything as close to the canon as possible. I was so disappointed when I searched for Jinx&Silco fanfics and most of them were explicit pseudo-incest. Their relationship is much more beautiful and intense like that of father and daughter. I also prefer Ekko/Jinx, which is much better and, in a way, canon.

By the way, the chapter posts will not have specific days because of the whole process of translating chapters and personal life. Hope you like it! Here we go!

Silco generally hates unexpected events. It's never a good thing for men like him. And while all the surprises that night had revealed hadn't ended so badly, having luck on his side is enough.

Silco wants the girl first. Then he will find out what caused the explosion. His fingers grip the knife hilt tightly as he exits the ruined building with his henchmens, controlling his anger. Too many surprises in a short time: the bomb, Sevika roasting her arm to push him out of the blue fire, Vander taking the Shimmer because of that damn girl. The girl who looks so much like the younger, truer version of Vander, from strength to fury. The girl who took out all his men in a matter of minutes.

He's going to kill her himself, to break her wings himself, before the bird learns to fly and no one else can hold her.

Then Silco hears the crying. And turns towards the sound, pausing for a brief second to analyze the situation. Another girl, in tears and huddled on the floor like a wounded bird that has fallen from its nest and her parents haven't come for it. Vander's massive mutant body is sprawled out behind her. Silco remembers that his old brother took care of four children, but there were only three inside, explaining what that one was doing out there.

Silco approaches without missing a step, watching her from above for a few more seconds. Blue hair still vibrant despite the rain, very small and thin body. Probably the youngest of the litter. Her bony body trembles with each sob.

No sign of the pink-haired girl.

A simple plan forms in his head and he feels his people close in before he crouches to the child's height, hiding the knife behind his back.

"Hello little girl." Silco speaks in the softest voice he has. "Where is your sister?"

The girl lifts her head as if she hadn't noticed her presence until then, sniffling and gasping through the tears running down her face. And suddenly she throws herself at him to hug him, catching him off guard. The knife flies and Silco support his hands on the floor, looking at that little girl clinging to his waist with wide eyes.

His brain freezes for a moment. He doesn't remember the last time he was hugged. He can't remember the last time someone had touched him with no intention of hurting him – and had deeply regretted it afterwards. The girl is stronger than she looks, her little arms tight around him like a lifeguard in a rough sea.

"She left me." She responds with a tearful voice and her head lying on his chest. When Silco stares at Vander's body and rethinks the pink-haired girl's absence, everything falls into place. "She's not my sister anymore." She finishes, still in tears, but with hate in every word.

When Silco looks down at the girl's blue hair again, he sees her with new eyes. He sees her small, thin body and remembers himself, weak and helpless in Vander's thick hands. Vander, who that girl's sister looked so much like, in so many ways.

Ah, Silco knows the feeling well. It's the same story told on other sheets. Be abandoned, left to die. Be alone.

And of all the things that happened that night, this one is the most unexpected. That thing swelling inside his chest, something so different from anything he'd ever felt before. The desire he had to be welcomed when he had been discarded mixed with the desire to welcome.

Nothing else matters at that moment. Not what had gone wrong in the end, not where his pink-haired sister had gone, not what his henchmens would think. Silco hugs the girl back, cradling her against him with his arms and legs.

All of his determination comes together in one focus. Silco will do what no one else has done for him. He will be there for her. He will ease the damage as much as he can. He will forge that anger in her voice, cut that rough stone into a sharp weapon. And he'll help her get back on her feet stronger than ever, just as he got up on his own.

"It's okay." He assures her, his head very close to hers. "We'll show them." And he drapes another protective arm over her thin shoulder, looking up once more at Vander's body, remembering once more the other girl. His anger is hers and her anger is his. "We'll show them all."
