"Knight, wake up!"
The Veela grumbled and pulled the sheets over his head. He felt someone tug at his blanket and pulled back in annoyance. In the midst of his fatigue, he told them to go away before settling into a comfortable position. He groaned when he felt the cover yanked away from him—leaving him fully exposed to the frigid air.
Andrew tried to peer through his heavy-lidded eyes, ready to yell at whoever it was. He managed to make out the shape of three human figures standing at the foot of his bed.
Three female figures.
Andrew quickly sat up, pulling his knees into his chest in hopes of hiding his body. He wasn't expecting any company, so he had decided to take a nap in his boxers—wanting to feel comfortable in the abandoned dorm. He had planned to change back before his dormmates could return that afternoon, but of course, that didn't go as he intended.
"What are you doing here?" the boy asked, flabbergasted, blushing at the sudden attention.
"We have two hours to get you ready for your date," Marlene said, tying her hair into a bun, "and we are not wasting any time. Now, get up!"
Lily, who had a look of pity on her face, handed him a plate piled with food. "You slept through supper, so we brought you something from the kitchen. We weren't sure what you wanted, so we got a bit of everything."
The Ravenclaw boy happily took the dish and bit into a slice of toast.
The voice he heard in his dreams had drove him to try and attempt at traveling through his dreams, following the various painstaking steps mentioned in his books. Unfortunately, due to the complexity and fluidity of the mind, he could only go so far until he was pushed back into the depths of darkness and exhaustion—leaving him to sleep for more hours than he intended.
He had taken several days to practice, but it felt like something was blocking him from accessing even a glimpse into the mental planes.
It was quite annoying.
With raised eyebrows, Dorcas took in his bare appearance and poked at his deltoid. "Since when did you start working out?"
"I didn't." He slapped her hand away before grabbing the blanket back from Lily and covering himself with it. "It's a Veela thing. You get the charm and an alluring appearance through puberty. It's to attract your victim or something."
"Oh, it's similar concept to Spider-Man." Lily stated, looking interested in the concept. "Normal one day, muscular with superpowers the next."
While Andrew and Marlene gave her a quizzical look, Dorcas only nodded in agreement. The Ravenclaw girl looked at him, bending down to look him in the eyes. "Have you been bitten by a radioactive spider, Drew?"
The boy scooted away from her. "You're scaring me."
The girls spent the next few minutes convincing him to get out of his bed, nearly dragging him off the mattress at one point. Once he did so willingly, they began to search through his trunk—inspecting his clothes and throwing the rejected ones onto his bed. They argued on a few selections before agreeing on layering him: a black sweater over a white crew-neck t-shirt with a red suede jacket on top of it all.
Dorcas threw the clothes at him along with a pair of dark jeans and boots. "That should work."
"Wait," Andrew said, looking confused at the coat. "This isn't mine."
Marlene looked at him, turning away from the bag full of hair products she brought with her. "It's Sirius'. I knew you wouldn't have one, so I asked and he said we could borrow it for your date."
