A/N I wanted to thank you all for the new reads and I hope you guys are enjoying the story! I've been thinking of skipping some seasons let me know what you think about that! Anybody see him in euphoria 😭.

Groggily padding around Mark's apartment, I groaned in pain. My whole body ached, and my head felt like it was going to explode, even the smallest of sounds rang through like a church bell was hanging over it. Mark had left for work so I was stuck here sick undiagnosed.

Heading into the kitchen, I carefully grabbed a glass, filling it with some water before heading to grab some pain killers, I hoped they'd make this headache and body pains subside just a little better so I could at least try get some rest. Mark was meant to be coming to see me after his shift, I was sick bored and alone.

Downing the water and tablets I leant on the counter, taking a small breath. Once I got it all done, I stood up, but I must've stood too fast because everything went blurry, and my head started to spin, my legs felt weak as I fell to the ground with a thud.

(3rd pov)

Mark was idly walking around the halls of the hospital looking for something to do, he had no patients or consults to do, so he was pretty bored. He had tried to call Melody but she never picked up so he he had hoped she had gotten some rest.

"Sloan, can you help Little Grey, there's an emergency coming in but no ones available." Bailey rushed, gasping for breath. "And try and call big Grey we need her!"

"I'll try I don't think I'll get a response though." He says shrugging. "You handle it shes your girlfriend." Bailey says with a hand placed on her hip.

Mark brushed past her and headed to A&E, pulling on some scrubs on his way before making it outside to stand next to the youngest Grey sister.

The sound of sirens were getting closer, so he wanted to be filled in so he knew what he was dealing with before the patient got there.

"What do we have?" Mark asked.

"Umm.. My sister?" Lexie says freaking out. As a stretcher rolls her in.

Mark pushed her out of the way and got a look at her. Low and Behold Melody was in the stretcher passed out.

"When I said get some sleep this is not what I meant." He muttered to himself.

"They said her vitals are stable, she's just unresponsive." Lexie spoke softly still freaking out.

"Get Derek now!" He yelled out.

Mark placed a hand on her cheek, running his thumb along her skin as Lexie ran out without another word.

"If you needed a ride to the hospital, I guess I should have brought you to work with me huh?" He whispered.

While Mark stood by Mel's side, checking her pupil reflex, he sighed in relief when he couldn't find anything wrong.

His head snapped up to the door as it opened and Derek came rushing in, instantly he was by her side, doing all the same tests that Mark had done.

"I don't think we need any scans, by the looks of it she just passed out from exhaustion."

Mark nodded, that lifted a weight of his shoulder but he was still worried, why was she so sick? Mark felt a hand being placed on his arm, and turnt to face Derek who was looking at him with reassuring eyes.

"She's alright Mark, she probably just has a cold. You know how Melody gets when she's sick." Derek reassured.

"Yeah, I know still, she's been sick since yesterday I'm just trying to figure out what the hell is wrong."

"Maybe she was downplaying it? You know what she's like. She likes to be independent and not worry you about things. Along with the fact that she likes her job."

Mark just nodded his head this time.

"Let's get her into a recovery room."

Mark let Derek take her to the room, while he followed along at her side, holding her hand. Even when she was set up in the room, he refused to leave her side. When she woke up he was going to scold her on downplaying her sickness, then he was going to stay with her until he was sure she was 100% better.

Hours slipped by with Mark sat by her side, he even had time to do some paperwork, got some food and take a small nap. By the time she woke up, he was fast asleep with his head on the bed, his hand wrapped around hers . It made her smile, she knew he'd always be by her side, and she didn't want it any other way.

Glancing around the room, she didn't want to wake him up. It had some flowers around the place, and some bags, she could see her favorite foods and drinks and a wide smile spread across her face, of course he'd do this for her, there wasn't anything Mark wouldn't do to make her feel better he would always make her feel special by doing the littlest things. Sometimes she wished she had met him sooner.

He had stirred a little when she kissed his head. Laying back she smiled and tried to get some rest.
