Yuki woke up to the loud beeping of her alarm clock. She stretched her arms out, yawning and getting up to turn the alarm clock off. She picked up her phone, looking though the notifications, seeing a message from her friend Mark. Mark and Yuki have always had a rather strange relationship. They started as friends then moved to friends with benefits, but the urge to have a sexual relationship died off. Mark and Yuki ended up more like a boyfriend and girlfriend scenario than anything, but only at night and in the early mornings.
Yuki checked the message.
Mark
(6:04 A.M) Yuki~ do you think you could help me with a project?
Yuki
(6:13 A.M) That depends. Call me in a few minutes. I canr type yrt.
(6:14 A.M) *I can't type yet.

Mark giggled a bit when he read the girls messages. Yuki was always a bit silly in the mornings. He set his phone down and went to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and thought about the past few nights with his friend. Were they really just friends with benefits? He wanted to be something more. He just didn't know if she wanted the same thing. "I'll ask her today." He whispered to himself as he looked in the mirror.
Yuki on the other hand was just finishing up doing what she needed to do in the washroom, drying her face off. She went back to her phone, opening the texts.
Yuki
(6:24 A.M) What project is it?
Mark
(6:24 A.M) The one in biology, it was about ATP or something??
Yuki
(6:25 A.M) Yeah I'll help you, but do you think you could pick me up?
Mark
(6:25 A.M) I'm already outside, come out when you're ready, love.

Something about the pet name made Yuki's heart flutter. God she wanted something more with Mark. She wanted to be his girlfriend in a real way. Not some kind of secrete relationship. She sighed to herself thinking about it as she put on some clothes. When she skipped out of the house, she say Marks car. She rushed to the car and opened the door.
"Boo!" Mark jumped a little. He had fell asleep waiting for the girl. "Did I scare ya, mark?" She tilted her head cutely as she sat herself in the passenger's seat.
"Just a little...Hey Yuki, can we talk about..us?" for some reason Yuki's heart stopped. But despite this, she nodded. She was expecting Mark to say that they weren't compatible and should just be friend. She was lost in thought when he spoke again. "So I've been thinking...Those nights when we'd stay up, not doing anything and just acting like a couple have been very...pleasant and enjoyable. I-i guess what I'm trying to say is that I really want to be something more. Of course if you don't feel the same wa-" He was cut off by the other.
"I feel the same way." She smiled as he took her hand, looking deep into her eyes.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" His voice was barely audible as he spoke, making Yuki giggle and nod.
"I'd love that."
"Good. Cause I'm gonna show everyone you're mine!" He smiled, his voice now turning giddy and happy. This was all either of them ever wanted, and now they had it.
