Chapter 43

Keira's POV

It's already three in the morning and I can't even sleep. He hasn't come back yet. I wonder where did he go. I'm worried, sad and guilty at the same time. Is he really not coming back? Did he listen to me when I said that I don't want to see his face ever again? I hope he's not.

Because I can't sleep I decided to go outside. Many employees greeted me when they saw me walking around. I can't help to think if he's okay, because in myself I know that I'm not okay. This guilty that I'm feeling because of what I did is killing me.

I'm still in a lot of pain right now but I didn't bother to care at all. All I want was to see him and get a chance to talk to him. I wanted to say how sorry and how thankful I am to him. Where is he?

While strolling around I reached the big garden with a big pool, there's no one in here it's so quiet, but I heard someone so familiar. Out of curiosity, I followed the voice, and I was shocked when I saw who it was.

"Kate? What are you doing here? Why are you still up?" I ask her immediately. She was startled by my sudden appearance but still manage to talk.

"And so are you, are you okay?" She asked me too worrying, I was about to speak when someone suddenly spoke.

"Hey, Keira. Nice seeing you tonight" I heard a man speak. I tilt my head to her side and then I saw Nicholas all smiling at me. What is he doing here? I frown then I saw Kate become nervous.

"What? Why are you here? I know you're Kate's boyfriend, but what are you doing here? Why did you come here?" I rained him down with questions. Kate became restless and Nicholas can't even answer my questions. What's happening? I raised my eyebrows at them and patiently waiting for them to say something.

"Ca-calm down. Don't g-get mad" Kate said after a while. She's stuttering. I sigh and shakes my head.

"Okay fine. Do what you want. I leave you two be" I said with no energy.

I turn around and then suddenly I got bump on a muscular chest, I immediately rub my forehead, when I lift my head to see who it was I was stunned and surprised. I can't help but to smile, but he's just giving me a cold stare and my smile suddenly disappeared and I became nervous so I avoided his stares at me. Then Nicholas spoke.

"He called me, that's the reason why I'm here" He said so I turn around to see him and Kate.

"I'm sorry, I kinda scared at you a while ago when you're asking me" He said while chuckling, I just frown. I don't understand why does he need to call Nicholas to come over here.

"He's right. I didn't know this I promise, I was surprised too when he called me and he said that he was here. And I didn't know that you're still awake" Kate said trying to explain. I sigh.

"I can't sleep. But it's fine, even though I don't know what's going on. Just continue what you're doing, I'm gonna go now" I said I can feel him staring at me. I turn around carefully not to bump at him again. When I was about to take a step he spoke.

"Kate said that you have something to say to me?" He said like asking me. I closed my eyes, I'm really nervous. I slowly turn and lift my head to face him. He's still giving me that cold look. I wasn't sure if I wanted to answer him or just let it go. I sigh heavily before I spoke.

"Yes, she's right. I'm actually waiting for you" I said but I just whispered the last words. I'm not sure if he heard that or not. I avoid his stares again and just bow my head.

"I heard you. So you're waiting for me?" He suddenly said I immediately lift my head and then here he was wearing his signature annoying smirk. But right now I wasn't annoyed by it, in fact I'm happy to see that than his cold stares. I just looked at him and smiled, then I heard a giggle. I turn to look at Kate and Nicholas who are having fun while looking at us. Then Kate approach us and spoke.

"You know what we're gonna leave now. We leave you two be. You two really need to talk" She said while giggling. I blush because of it.

"She's right. We're gonna enjoy ourselves too" Nicholas said while looking at Kate with full of lust. I frown a little and start to get annoyed by these two horny person in front of me.

"Mygad! Nicholas, you don't need to say that. You and Kate were much more alike than I imagine. You two suit each other. So horny" I said frustrated. I heard him laugh because of that. Kate laughs too as well as Nicholas. I just rolled my eyes at them and crossed my arms.

"Okay okay. I can see you're starting to get annoyed because of us. We're gonna go so the two of you can talk peacefully" Kate said still teasing me, I just glared at her.

"Bye, good luck" She whispered to me when she hug me then pull away and smiled at me. I simply nod.

"Good luck man" I heard Nicholas say to him too, then they both left us. I'm too shy to look at him.

"Are you just gonna stand there?" He asked me. I turn to face him and smile.

"No, of course not" I just said then looked away. Actually, I didn't know what to say or where to start.

"Come on. Let's sit there" He said so I looked at him, he's pointing to the garden where there was a little swing that can fits two people. I nod then he started walking so I followed him.

When we reached he invited me to sit on the other side while he sat on the other side too. There was a moment of silence, I don't know what to say.

"I'm sorry" We said at the same time to each other. We're both surprised and laugh a bit because of that.

"You go first" He said softly. I nod and smile.

"I'm sorry" I said sincerely. He nods then I continued.

"And thank you" I said he's just looking at me like waiting for me to continue. I sigh heavily before I continued.

"I honestly don't have any idea of what truly happens. Kate told me everything. I'm sorry that I accused you, that's so rude of me. And I'm sorry for everything I said, I exploded" I said he's just listening to me.

"And thank you for saving my show" I said with a sincere smile. He smiles at me and nods.

"You don't have any idea how important my show is. All of them. It's not just my career and not just my staff's hard work, it also depends the lives of all the children I'm helping in all of my charity houses" I said starting to get emotional. I looked away before I continued.

"I'm doing it for them. I'm helping them to get through it to be able to have a second chance at life. Like what God gave to me. I'm just returning the favor by helping them" I said with a sad smile.

"You keeps telling me that, that you've been given a chance at life again, that you've survived. What happens to you Keira?" He asks of a sudden. I was stunned and didn't know if I can tell him that side story of my life. But here I go.

"I nearly died for so many times before. I really thought, but I survived"
