Prologue

"Jaakkkkkeeee!!!!"

"What is it mom!!"

"Professor Elm wants to see you!!"

"Seriously!!" Said Jake running down the status frantically and staring at his mom.

"Seriously"

"Alright!!!"

As I walk out the door I reach for my bike and head to the professors lab right next door. I know it's right there but I like to ride my bike because it just feels like I am free.
"Professor!!!"

"Ah Jake welcome to my lab, I bet your mom told you I wanted to see you"

"Yup that's what I am here for"

"Well Jake its time"

"Really?!?"

"Yup in that machine over there you can choose your pokemon"

"Ok then I'll go check them out"

"In that pokeball is Cyndaquil, the fire type Pokemon and the two other pokeballs are Totodile and Chikorita"

Cyndaquil, Totodile, And Chikorita I thought. This is going to be really hard to choose for me, I guess I'll go with Totodile.

"I choose Totodile professor"

"Ah Totodile the water type Pokemon"

"Yes Totodile will be my partner til the end"

"Well then Totodile it is"

"Toto-dile"

"My- my partner"

"Totodile" said happily as she saw her new trainer.

"Whelp Totodile get ready cause we are heading out tomorrow"

"Totodile" said Totodile happily.

"How does it feel to walk around with your Pokemon?"  asked Professor Elm.

"Feels awesome Professor" replied Robert

I feel like me and Totodile are going to get along just fine, we will go on adventures and gather all gym badges and go to the Johto League.  As i say my goodbyes to Professor, he hands me an egg and tells me i have to go to a person, Mr. Pokemon is his name and Professor Elm says that he is waiting for me. As i exit the Professor's lab i walk to my house and show my mom Totodile or Fria as i nicknamed her.

"What a lovely pokemon you got there Jake"

"Thanks Mom"

"Well did the Professor sent you here?"

"Yes mom he wants me to tell you that i am going on a journey with my pokemon"

"Wow, an adventure with your pokemon"

"Yea i just need to pick up my bag from here and i will be on my way"

"Ok then do you know where to find your items and stuff like that?"

"Yes Mom"

"Ok then go"

I feel bad for leaving my mother, i mean, i never thought i'd leave her here in my hometown just waiting for me to return after my journey. I guess i'm just going to have to deal with it. As i pass the Professor's lab i see a strange boy just running from the first route near my home. I watch him pass me, it seems that he is hurt. As he falls, i run to him as he is in need of medical assistance.

"Hello, can you hear me"

"W-whos there?"

"My name is Jake, i saw you fall and i came to help"

"J-Jake i'm looking for you"

"What do you mean?"

"I-i am your childhood friend"
