Emily
"Emily! Wait up!"
I turned around to see Hailey running towards me. Impressively, might I add. I can never run in 4-inch wedges without tripping. She was in a light orange flowy dress that had a white geometric pattern with white wedge sandals. Her hair was in a messy fishtail over her shoulder.
"Hey Hailey," I stopped and smiled at her.
She stopped in front of me and panted slightly. "Hey," she said with a grin, "How's your first day going?"
"Amazing! It's just how I've dreamt about it. I seriously cannot get any happier," I said with a satisfactory sigh.
"Wanna bet?" Hailey asked with a sly smirk.
"What did you do?" I asked her eagerly.
"Oh nothing, I just got us invited to the first frat party!" she squealed.
My smile grew wider.
"You're joking! Do you have any idea how hard it is to get to go to one at Harvard?!" I exclaimed.
Her grin changed into what seemed like a mixture of horror and pain.
"Believe me, I do," she said tiredly, "But anyway, that doesn't matter anymore, 'cause we're in!"
We both squealed and we almost started jumping up and down, until we noticed the people giving us weird looks.
"Hey, let's go shopping afterwards. I'm heading to my last lecture, when do you finish?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm already done. I don't have many lectures today. Tomorrow's the dreadful day," she said with mock fear. I knew she couldn't be more excited.
"Ok, good. I'll just meet you at our dorm once I'm done. When's the party?" I asked.
Her eyes lit up. "Tonight!"
I grinned widely. "Awesome! But no drinking!" I warned.
"Oh don't worry, I don't drink." she said. And with that we parted ways.

"How about this?" Hailey held up yet another sequined dress.
I groaned. "Hailey," I whined. "I'm not gonna wear sequins. There's no way. I'll end up with a rash."
"Fine," she deadpanned. She picked up a cream dress. "Hey, what do you think of this?"
"This is gonna look so good with your hair!" I exclaimed, gushing over it.
"I meant for you, but you're right. I'm gonna try it on," she said.
While she changed, I looked around for a dress for me.
"Are you sure you don't have it in a bigger size?" A woman said.
I turned my attention to them. She looked like she just gave birth.
"I'm terribly sorry ma'am, it was sold two days ago. I could help you find something else." The employee offered. They both turned and started looking through the hangers. I made my way over to the dress. It was a very dark plum peplum dress that seemed to reach a couple of inches above the knee. The straps were beaded with crystal-like plum beads that sparkled a bit in the light. It was also my size. I grabbed it and went to try it on.
The straps were thicker than I would have preferred, and the chest area was a bit tight, so it was a bit hard to breathe. But it looked good. I liked the color, so I decided to go for it.
I stepped out to see Hailey twirling around. It seemed to fit her like a glove, but as a fashion fanatic, I knew better.
"I could sew the sides tighter around the waist for you. But other than that, it's gorgeous," I commented.
