„I'll pick you after work, okay?" Delilah gives mi a little smile and I quickly nod.
"Thanks again, Delilah," I say mi thanks to her a leave the car. As I am walking towards the building, I have this strange feeling. Maybe it's just because of this fears that inside me, but maybe it's because I finally realized that Charming might be forever gone. And live happy life without you one true love is kind of impossible. Especially after he saved my life and became my husband.
"Good morning, Miss White," the lady at reception waves at me and I give her little nod. Everyone seems to like this person I am now. That's little strange for me. I remember I wasn't always good human being. After that terrible curse I became cold and careless. But before that I was good, I swear. Everyone used to be so kind to me and always support my decisions. Maybe at this world I could get that back.
"Good morning, dear," I come closer to her desk and accept a file, she handled to me. "Is doctor," I take a little peak at my file, "Morgan at his office by any chance?" I ask nicely.
"Yes he is," she nods, "he came few minutes before you."
"I'll give him a quick visit before we'll start doing some work," I explain my intention to her and she hands me a plastic cup. I raise my brows at her.
"Your coffee, Miss White," she explains. "Like every morning, remember?"
"Yeah," I sigh, "I'm just really tired this morning."
"Tell me about it," she laughs and I take the plastic cup from her. I take a little sip and find out that it's really coffee. It's actually way better than that one Delilah gave me this morning.
"It was nice to see you again, but I'm afraid that I have to get going. Doctor Morgan is probably already wanting for me," I smile at her and tell her a little innocent lie. Back in my homeland I never used to lie. But here it seemed like I had to.
This hospital is really small, but I still got lost in here. Finding doctor's Morgan's office was really hard and I almost asked some nurse for help. Then I realized that Serena would most definitely know where his office is. It took me a little but I found it myself. I shyly knock and wait for the answer.
"Come in," I hear really familiar voice. How is that possible?
When I walk in, I already know the answer to my question. Doctor Morgan was no one else that one of my biggest friends I ever had. He was Doc, the really smart Dwarf. When I saw him, I had tears in my eyes. He looks at me in shock and does not hesitate to hug me.
"Doc," I whisper, "I thought I was all by myself in this."
"You were never really alone, Snow," he smiles at me and sits back on his chair. I give him little smile and sit as well. We have a lot to talk about. "Where the hell are we?" I ask the most important question.
"I wish I known," he sighs. "But unfortunately I have no clue."
"I thought you have answer to everything," I mumble.
"You must have misled me with Grumpy. You know that he was always the one with the smartest ideas," he says and I laugh.
"Yeah, you're right about that," I say in agreement. "But there must be a reason why we're here. Don't tell me you haven't thought about that already."
"I have," he nods. "But I didn't come up with anything. I mean have certain ideas, but I'm too scared to say them at loud. It's kind of scaring the crap out of me."
"Evil Queen Rosalie?" I whisper and he nods immediately. "Look," I pause, "she might have caused the curse and turn all of us to our worst selves, but she isn't behind this. Trust me. I know her far too well. This doesn't sounds like her at all."
"You can talk to her about that," he says and I raise my brows at him. "She's one of the most powerful people in this town. She's something like mayor. She's not mayor formally, but no one has ever stud up to her."
"Okay, in this case I will go confront her after we're done here," I wanted to say something else, but door to Doc's office open and a nurse is standing there.
"I'm afraid that we have and emergency going on," she says and I stand up.
"What happened?" I ask quickly.
"Car accident," she answers and let me and Doc walk thought the door. She leads us the right way and we follow her.
"How many people?" I ask.
"Just one," she says and I gasp. At least it's not a huge car accident. "Young man, but he has some terrible wounds. It looks like he has some broken bones and internal bleeding."
"Let's go, Doctor," I command my friend and run though the hallway.
When I thought today couldn't be worst, I recognized the injured patient. I immediately had tears in my eyes and almost fell at the ground. Docs hold my hand and I looked at my beloved Charming. It looked like he was here with me after all as well. But not in the way I wanted him to be. He was most definitely fighting for live.
"Snow," Doc whisper and turn at him, "can you do this, or should I do it by myself."
"No, I have to do this. He would do it for me as well. I can let him die, Doc. I love him so much, you know that," I whisper and Doc nods.
"Then let's get to work and save your beloved's life."
