I looked at the clock.
8:06 am
Crap.
I rush to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Afterwards, I sprint back to my room to put on my big yellow shirt with one stripe along the middle, and tucking it into my baggy cuffed blue jeans. I add a belt, fun socks, and my favorite doc martins.
I ran downstairs and poured myself the first box of cereal I laid eyes on. Shoveling fruit loops into my mouth, I looked up and saw aunt May standing with a smug look on her face.
"Excited for your first day?" She asked
"Come on, its my junior year" "I've got this in the bag." I replied.
Frankly, I didn't have this in the bag. Of course I was nervous for my first day- I've been a freaky genius boy in my last school.
"Excited to meet some cute girls?" She smirked, nudging my shoulder.
"Uh, yeah sure." I replied, distractingly by my anxious thoughts. Cute girls. Yeah right. Before I could do anything else, I heard the screeching of wheels roaring around the corner.
"I guess that's me" I yelled, throwing my brand new mustard yellow art hoe Jansport bag with art, science, and Star Wars pins over my shoulder. Before May could say anything, I was on the bus, still tying my laces.
There weren't a lot of people on the bus; you could count them with two hands. Before I knew it, I was hopping out of the bus to enter Midtown School of Science and Technology. This is it. This was the first specialty center school I had been to, and made my butterflies in my stomach lessen.
I pulled out my map and started navigating to my first class. Sure, looking down at a map while walking through crowds of hundreds of kids wasn't my brightest idea, but it sure got the job done. I was supposed to be at room 324, but was standing by 112. I thought of maybe asking someone for help. Looking up from my map, I did a double take. Students staring at a girl and a boy, supposedly a couple, holding hands.
The boy had straight, jet black hair with a middle part, wearing a loose black band tee, black ripped jeans, a chain hanging from his jeans, a dangly heart earring, a myriad of rings, and had a confident, emo, 21st century vampire, dom aura. The girl on the other hand, had long straight dark brown hair wearing baggy ripped blue jeans, a cropped black tank under a black and white flannel jacket. They complemented eachother so well– the boy's eyes being ice blue and the girl's being chocolate brown.
The boy towered over the girl, hugging her from behind. God I wish someone could to that to- "Hey watch where you're going, short acrylic paint doc martins sunflower ukulele Mona Lisa starry night Polaroid camera Tyler the Creater Burt's bees cactus cuffed jeans BOZO!" A random group of boys shoved by me, looking at me like I was an old fashion trend and they were over it.
"S-s-sorry," I stuttered, and went on to class.
My first class was engineering chemistry. Finally something good. Looking around, I noticed mostly juniors. My eyes scanned the classroom as I looked for someone non-intimidating looking. I felt someone's presence behind me, and turned around, only to see the same guy from the hallway, jet black hair, icy blue eyes, and wow– mighty tall. We made eye contact for about 0.3 seconds, and I quickly turned around in my chair, worried he might think I have a problem with him. The teacher introduces herself then calls roll. When she calls out Chase Hudson, the guy from the hallway nods his head up indicating he's here. When she got to Peter Parker I nervously raise my hand feeling his icy blue orbs staring at me. As soon as the teacher started talking, I forgot about my surroundings. One thing lead to another, and soon the class was over.
Okay, next class. English. While walking to my next class with my map out again, I felt a familiar figure hovered over me.
