Unseen Past

Prologue

"Why, why Sarah, I- I don't understand." Witney said as she looked at me in pain,her eyes flooded with tears, as I tilted my head and looked at her with hatred that filledevery part of my body."You know perfectly well what's going on- why all this is happening. You know morethan anyone, more than me." tears came to the surface of me, but I wasn't about to showmy weakness, Witney knew perfectly well what happened, why everything was happening,she was just trying to hide it, and I knew that.My eyes filled with more hatred as I could see her begin to walk slowly towardsme, I staggered back trying to escape her.She threw her fists down as she walked strictly to me, she yelled at me as she didonce more, she came back to the one I remembered, the one who ruined my life, the onewho filled my heart with hatred, the one who broke my heart, my soul, she broke me alongwith the world, and because of that, all because of her, I wanted to break her and all elsewithin the world, and nothing would hold me back."You listen to me Sarah, I didn't do anything so why don't you get out of here andruin someone else's life.""Ha- Im ruining your life? Don't you remember you did this, you started all this,you did EVERYTHING, and all of it is because of YOU, I didn't ruin Your life, you ruinedMINE." I shouted as my heart filled with agony once more."Stop Lying to me, yourself, and everyone Sarah.""No I am not, you did this." I finally broke remembering all the pain she sent tome, tears streamed down my face, as it burned my eyes, "How could you?" I asked as Ifell to the ground, my body felt broken once more, but I couldn't, couldn't let her see melike this, she knew what she did, I wouldn't let her ruin my life more than she alreadydid."Like I said I didn't do anything." She paused for a moment as her brow furrowed,and she bit her bottom lip, contemplating. She then gave in, a mumble barely recognizable,"They say everyone has a past, but yet mine is unseen." She gave a small shiver as her eyesclosed for a while longer.her hand swung over to her shoulder as she gently rubbed it continually, embracingherself, as her slow, heavy breathing filled the silence in the air.The silence commenced as I broke out, finally getting off the floor, as I watched hercalm herself down and loathsome and sorrow fill her eyes, it only made me resent her thatmuch more, "You know what I see in my past? I see fear and pain, and you were in themiddle of all of it, you destroyed everything, everything I once knew, but all is lost now, and there's no way back." I fought through my tears, as I continued. "Fear and Pain will alwaysbe there but when there's even a single glimpse of hope, that gets taken away as well, andall that's left is the fear, pain, agony, sorrow, and the darkness."
