Chapter 31 - Leaving

Reiju was still clunged onto me. I quickly stood up as I pulled Reiju up as well. I moved closer to Hancock but Reiju grabbed my hands.

"We have so much things to discuss about — Shall you stay for tonight?" She asked with pleading face.

how could i say no to her?? she's actually here.. my ex no .. my girlfriend..

".. sure," I smiled gently at her.

"Um.. empress.. are you staying-"

"No need. There's plenty of people here, i hardly doubt there's space for me here," she smiled, closing her eyes awkwardly.

"Oh, you can stay in the room with me," Nami suggested with a excited face. "My bed can fit us both!"

"Oh.. is that so.." Hancock said unsurely. She looked dissatisfied, she wanted to escape but Nami just pulled her out of her escape route

We were all staring at her, waiting for her to respond. Her gaze was fixed onto mines. Why do I feel melancholy looking into those eyes of hers?

I quickly looked away.. "Alright then.." the empress said

Sanji was forced to share a room with Zoro and Luffy because Reiju and I took his room and ohh boyy.. I bet they're going to be arguing all night!

I sat uncomfortably at the foot of the bed. I have a lot of questions, but I'm not sure how to ask them. Is she real?

"I'm sure you have your questions... but first, may I ask as to what your relationship with the Empress is?"

My eyes lit up.. "She's just my teacher. She's the reason I'm here."

"I see.."

"How did you end up here, Reiju? Why are you here?" I murmured, my voice shaking.

"You have no idea how much pain I went through when I thought you were dead.. dead because of me??? And then you appear out of nowhere?" I yelled angrily at the top of my lungs.

".. you don't think I was struggling too?? When I awoke, you weren't by my side!" With a loud, mournful tone, she exclaimed, and I quickly shut up.

"... what?"

Hancock's Pov

Well this is awkward.. I've never shared a room with a stranger before — except for y/n of course

"Um.. Hancock?" Nami says, as she was leaning closer to my face. I quickly moved my face away from hers.

So she's already at ease enough to call me by my first name? "Hm?"

"You've been dozing off since you've sat down. Berries for your thoughts?"

".. Just wondering about their relationship."

"Hmm well, Sanji don't really talk about his family but as far as I know, his sister and y/n are madly in love with each other."

"You think so?"

"But of course. Y/n doesn't look at her the way she looks at you. I'm not on anyone's team but I can sense you're uncomfortable seeing her with another girl, don't you?" She says nudging my shoulder.

Why is she touching me? Does she think we're that close now that she can start harassing me at any time??

"Right...." I said as I scooted her over. "And, I have no feelings whatsoever to y/n. She's merely just my student."
