Chapter: 5
Madeline's POV:
I couldn't go back to the Templar's bureau after what had just happened and almost got killed by a fellow Templar. A sigh escapes from me as I went into the place that I'm staying at for tonight. I think for right now, I will just need to lay low. I will go to the bureau tomorrow and have all of this straightened out. Also, I will see why the hell a fellow Templar came after me and almost ended my life right there and then. If it hadn't been for a certain Assassin saving my arse right there. I would have died. I want out of the Templar order and I want nothing to do, but escape from its grasp.
My mother and my dear friend are both dead. I don't even know the whereabouts of where my father is, but I do know that I never want to see him as he had left me when I was a young child. My mother said that it was business, but it was a lied. I didn't truly know what she meant because I was a little kid and didn't understand fully. I understand what she meant when I was a little older than I was back then. I learn to find out that he had left us permanently and never coming back. I was devastated and so then I only hope to settle the score with him. Once I find him, I will make sure he pays for leaving my mother and me.
This day has been nothing, but a mess.
***********************************************
I was walking to the Templar's building as I scan the area quickly before walking inside. I don't see the Assassin anywhere, so I'm clear for now. I walk down the hallway as I saw a certain person that I was looking for and I walk right up to him. It was time for a little payback as he's going to suffer. I knew it was him that sent that Templar after me- to try and get rid of me. I took him by the arm and swung him into the wall as I shouted "Why the hell did you send one of your fellow followers after me? He almost killed me!"
"It was just a test to see how well you react to a sneaking Assassin" He answered with that smirk that is always on his lips.
"A test!" I yelled as I was furious as I whip out one of my daggers as he began to panic "How about I put an end to your life right now, you misérable petit rongeur?!"
He shouted "Wait! No!"
I brought my hand down with the dagger as it was going to strike him in the heart and to end his life. Someone had grabbed my wrist before I could end his life and I felt an arm around my waist as the person pull me away from Thomas. I threw the dagger as it scratch his cheek and hit the wall next to his head. The person pulled me away as I struggle out in rage. I didn't realize who it was until we ended up in a familiar study room and the doors closed behind us.
The person lets me go as I turn around with a glare that could burn a hole through somebody's body. I realized who it was and instantly got down on one knee with my hand over my heart. "Forgive me, my leader. I have lost control."
He kneels down in front of me as he places a hand on my shoulder as a smile spread across his lips "You're forgiven, Miss Madeline. Everyone loses their temper sometimes"
I nodded as he continued "Now, we don't have to kneel anymore. So, rise up my child."
I did as he told me and guide me over to a chair as I took a seat in it. He took my hand in his as he sat down in the other chair. "Thomas is jealous of the way you have rank over him and I can see that quite clearly, but he also made remarks about you siding with the Assassins. So, in the rash process of his mind, he decided to send a Templar to killed you"
"I did no such thing!" I cry out as I shouted "Il ment!!"
"He possibly could be, but I have chosen you to have ranked higher than him. So far, you have shown me loyalty beyond any person that is in this order. You're just like your mother, with her fiery-temper and always getting the job done. You have grown into a fine young lady." He murmured.
A smile spread across my lips "Thank you."
"De rien, Madeline." He murmured.
I nodded my head as he nodded back "Now if you excuse me. I have to get back to work and you can leave for today. I don't want anymore Templars to be dead, we have suffered more casualties than I would like for today."
I nodded my head again and bow deeply "I shall get going then."
He nodded as I turn around and walk out of the room. My anger had simmered down a lot as the mention of my mother had to ease my temper down a lot. I didn't even glance in the other room, but I could tell he was holding a cloth up to his cheek. A smirk spread across my lips as it would feel great to finally end his life. I walk out of there as I let out a sigh of relief.
Now, I have to stay away from the Assassins for good, because I just dug my own hole of staying here forever. I don't know what to do or decide on what to do. I hope that I could make the right decision in the end. I can't be caught by that Assassin, for he will have me in trouble with the order.
I honestly don't know what to do.
