Chapter 1
Startled, I woke up to a VROOMP VROOMP sound. I rushed out of bed, grabbed my navy blue robe, and wrapped it around my nighties as i ran outside, following the mysterious sound.
As soon as i got out of my apartment door and peered around the corner, i watched a bright light and a fading, almost transparent old blue police box fade away before my eyes. I rubbed my eyes thinking i must have been still sleepy to think such things as this and there is no logical way things like this could just disappear into thin air.
I slowly walked off the sidewalk and into my nearby apartment, disappointed and confused. Im disappointed that i probably didn't find the real answer to the sound and confused over the fact of a real DISAPPEARING blue telephone box. As i'm entering my house, i'm thinking that Whitney, my closet friend and practically my sister, probably wouldn't even believe me unless i have facts behind it. So i guess it's time to research.
I barely even touched my laptop on my bed when i heard my mother's footsteps coming. She must haven't heard the noise at all or she probably would be just as confused as me.
"Madeline," she said in a annoying sing-song voice, " time to wake up! You have to go to your aunt Amelia's for the summer!"
"But, Mooom! I'm old enough to be home alone!" I groaned, dragging the 'o' sound.
She poked her head around the corner and looked me straight in the eye, slightly glaring, and said, "Butts are for sitting. Get ready. Now."
"Fine." I huffed. "I think its stupid though. I'm a sixteen year old girl now." I mumbled.
I walked over to my closet and grabbed my navy blue suitcase and thought of what to wear. I stuffed my suitcase of some of my favorite band tee's and skinny jeans, paired with, of course, some Vans. When I finished, i knew exactly what to wear. I quickly dug through the remaining clothes and picked out my favorite blue ripped t-shirt from Hot Topic, a white tank top, black skinny jeans, and my military boots.
I rushed to the bathroom and almost screamed at my reflection. My blonde hair was extremely poofy and knotted here and there in my curls. I had a black smear running from my left eye to my nose. I quickly washed my face and tamed the beast (my hair) with a brush and reapplied the usual eyeliner and mascara.
I ran out and hurried off to the kitchen to make my breakfast. I softly sang along to the song Brother while I made my famous bacon pancakes.
As i finished cooking and was about to eat, Mom entered the kitchen fully dressed with her red curled hair in a bun, her usual work makeup and her eyepatch on. The only change today is that she wore bright red lipstick, which i found quite unusual but shrugged it off.
"You do know i saw your little performance, right?" She questioned me with a friendly smile.
"Last I checked, I didn't have an audience and I'm not Gerard Way." I teased.
"Well, time to head off to Auntie's!" She said but the last word dripped with venom.
I grabbed my phone and raced out the front door to the red Jeep Liberty. If I'm gonna be there, i might as well try to be happy. Key word: try. I looked back and saw my mom laughing in the door way. She knows my aunt and I hate each other with a passion.
"Oh crap," I thought, "I grabbed the wrong keys." So I hurried back in the house. When I grabbed the right keys and almost closed the door, the sound came back. The VROOM VROOM slowly got louder. I turned around and tried to locate the location of the weird sound. Soon as I stepped foot in my living room, a blue box opened a door and a man's  hand came outstretched towards me and the only thing I heard was his deep, velvety voice saying the words "Care to see the stars?" before I hit the ground.
